Typically sh*t comment from someone who has no idea about football. He is a longer term solution and perhaps the game to start him would be a less daunting one than at Anfield against a very good Liverpool side .

Reminds me of Jack Wilshere. Think he could be a class act and would inject a bit of zip into our midfield. I'm a big fan of Ki, but he was sleepwalking through the last game.
In fact, I think our failure to push those in central midfield has been a mistake in our transfer market. I'd like to see him given 20minutes or so at least. [Post edited 22 Nov 2015 11:44]

Matt Grimes seems to have dropped off the Radar, it's another puzzling one isn't it ?
The signing of Cork, while we all agree a good signing ,seems to have given Monk a problem in getting games to the likes of Britton and Grimes, and more bizzarely even Cork !!
No doubt in my mind that the plan is to play the Stars no matter what, the right blend has been missing for a while though, and i'm not suggesting Matt is the answer it's just going to be harder to keep a prospect happy when his contract runs down.
He will either cost a fair whack to keep here or we lose him to another team, so what was the point in paying £1,5m plus his wages if we wern't going to develop him and use him?
Maybe he has gone backwards this season,everyone else has !
It's just all a bit weird really, but in fairness is he better than Britton,Ki,Jonjo,Cork or Siggy

We bought Grimes in jan 2015 and signed him for 4 1/2 years aged 19. What was the plan to develop him ? Moving from lge 2 to an u21 set up is a backward step. If he aint good enough for our first team any time soon he needs to be out on loan at a championship team to get real game time. Thats what the likes of spurs and chelsea do. Please don't tell me more years at u21 level is the answer, he wont learn feck all. |  |
