University Research: Football Security After Stade de France 22:09 - Nov 30 with 778 viewstheacademic

Dear all,

In the wake of the terrorist attack on the Stade de France during the recent France versus Germany international match, I would appreciate a few minutes of your time to hear your thoughts on how this will impact on security at football matches in the UK:

Thank you in advance.

Security at American sports events is far superior to here already, much like the airports are. (and even in their schools).

There are metal detectors, extended hand searches, hand held security machines etc. They are very strict on what you carry in ie NFL "No fun" policy where you can only take in small transparent bags.

Its only a matter of time until they have the xray machines like they do at JFK and the like.

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."
