Still a mountain of points to be gotten, and I haven't had my 2-3 weeks of 2-7's yet.
Once the NFL reaches the playoffs there will be plenty of points to be nicked. The Super Bowl will be its own little comp with exotic Vegas picks, as they're called, like over-under, point spreads, passing yards, rushing yards, turnovers.. and the famous pick the final score.
But our NFL prediction league to crown a champion is when the AFC and NFC conferences determine their two representatives.
For those who peek in because they like the odd-shaped ball, The NFC and the AFC have a way-back history of being separate leagues. It was the Super Bowl in the 60s that combined two important leagues. It was even during a time when college football was king.
That's why you still get 100,000 in Ann Arbor, Michigan for Michigan Wolverines games but maybe only 55,000 to see the Detroit Lions. Or Ohio State also gets 100,000 in Columbus, Ohio, while Cleveland and Cincinnati are lucky to have 60,000 in their stadiums.
The University of Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City, same thing. 70,000, and in this case Iowa is a state with no pro team (not NFL, hoops, hockey, football). The culture of College football goes back to the late 1800s.
Difficult to explain how college football rules. Well, but at least I try to make this PL interesting.
