Week 34 Results

LIVERPOOL 3 EVERTON 1

Klopp is the first Liverpool manager to win his first three league Merseyside derbies. Well done to gsy163 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 13 had the outcome.

BARNSLEY 1 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1
Barnsley got a 93rd minute equaliser to deny their local rivals. That late goal was good news for the 8 who had this spot-on, and 1 more got the outcome.

BURNLEY 0 TOTTENHAM 2
Tottenham have won more points than any other Premier League team in 2017. There was a massive 11 who got this spot-on, in what the weeks most predicted score, and 11 also had the outcome.

PETERBOROUGH 2 CHARLTON 0
Peterborough get back-to-back wins for the first time since December. Well done noah4x4 for being the only one to have this spot-on, but 18 did get the outcome.

LUTON 1 BLACKPOOL 0
Luton got a 90th minute winner, to get a crucial victory over fellow play-off hopefuls. There were 2 who got this spot-on, and another 10 had the outcome.

LEYTON ORIENT 0 WYCOMBE 2
Ten-men Orient suffered their 17th home league defeat of the season. There was a decent 6 who had this spot-on, with a further 13 getting the outcome.

NOTTS COUNTY 3 COLCHESTER 1
Notts County get a third consecutive win, to dent the U's play-off hopes. Nobody got this spot-on, but 5 did have the outcome.

YEOVIL 0 CARLISLE 2
Carlisle end their goal drought that had stretched to 701 minutes, as they get their first win in eight games, against 10-man Yeovil. Well done to jonestones for being the only one to have this spot-on, and just 3 got the outcome.

SOUTHAMPTON 0 BOURNEMOUTH 0
Bournemouth miss a late penalty, but still take their undefeated run to four, after this bore draw. Again nobody got this spot-on, and only 3 had the outcome. There were 19 who predicted a win for Southampton, with 8 going for a 2-1.

READING 1 LEEDS 0
Reading bring an end to Leeds seven game undefeated run. Well done thrillseeker for being the only one to have this spot-on, but 10 did have the outcome.

After the recent run of tough weeks, it was good to finally have a week of decent point scoring. Thanks mainly to the Barnsley draw and the wins for Spurs and Wycombe, we had 31 three pointers, giving us the second best return on them so far this season. With 87 outcomes as well, this gave most a respectable week, and some a very good one. The competition was hot to be the weeks top scorer, with four members getting three spot-on. In the end it was jonestones who had that honour, even though to quote him they were cold/off the top of my head/guess predictions. A strategy that obviously worked, as he had the Barnsley 1-1, and the Spurs and Carlisle 2-0 wins spot-on, and with four other outcomes, he got a brilliant seasons best 13 points. It was also a seasons best score for a back to form thrillseeker, as he had the Barnsley 1-1, and the wins for Spurs and Reading spot-on, to get an excellent 12 points. The struggle for 3 pointers is history now for noah4x4, as he has the 2-0 wins for Spurs, Peterborough and Wycombe spot-on, as he achieves a very good 11 points. He was equaling his best score for the season, as was Sector4, who had the Barnsley 1-1, and the Spurs and Wycombe 2-0 wins spot-on, to also give him a very good 11 points. Other members worth a mention this week are sevebalo, Gate 16, ethicsgirl, RSCOSWORTH and gsy163, who all had two spot-on.

In the Premier, no 3 pointers for the top two this week, but by getting seven outcomes mfb_cufc increases his lead by a further 4 points. It is now by only the most 3 pointer rule that burnsieespana clings on to the second spot, as the decent weeks for Sector4 and jonestones, have now made it an intriguing contest for those Charity Shield spots. The decent week for sevebalo deserved more, as amazingly he lost ground in the race for a Charity Shield spot. Whereas in the bottom half, it required decent weeks from Gate16, thrillseeker and ethicsgirl, to stop them dropping into the relegation zone, as RSCOSWORTH continued his good recent form. But with time running out, more of the same will be required for him to survive. The seven outcomes for wessex_exile, gives him hope of surviving, but it is going to require a miracle for BFG now.

In Division One, getting the Wycombe 2-0 spot-on was enough to keep basher2010 at the top for the 25th week running. But he is now under pressure, not only to stay top, but to go up automatically, as the decent week from noah4x4, although keeping him third, has moved him to within a point of the automatics. The top five are now almost assured of at least a play-off spot, but that final play-off place is still all to play for.

THE TABLES (248 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
