Contracts 09:58 - May 7 with 10236 viewsFruitbat

A lot of players out of contract.

Those with first team appearances to their names:

Akinwande
Briggs
Brill
Brindley
Doyley
Eastman
Edge
Elokobi
Kinsella
Porter
Vincent-Young
Wright

Who stays?

If they want to stay all but Akinwande and Doyley.

Not Briggs. Keep Brindley.

Big George has already a come and get me message to the club , perhaps a player / manager roll at Braintree might be a alternative .

Perhaps a resigning of Gavin Massey could soften the blow of the unavailability of Dickenson, with a release of Akinwande , Doyley and Kinsella to finance .

Brindley would be first on my list to keep. Happily release femi and Briggs. Would welcome Massey back, his wages may be comparable to Briggs.

Akinwande and Doyley for certain. I've never been convinced by Briggs, who seems below average wherever he plays, so wouldn't be upset if he departed as well.

I would keep them all except for Doyley, too decorative for my liking!

Tarique Fosu might be available has his contract expires at his parent club Reading . The club already indicated a intrest in signing him obviously depending on him becoming a free agent and his terms .
Was not convinced early on, but since return from injury has improved with a change from a wide role .

Briggs and Doyley released, along with Akinwande, Peter and three other youngsters whose names I have immediately forgotten (apologies to those concerned)

Briggs bit of a surprise to me but Kinsella obviously thought more of. Nobody else a surprise.

Ben Wyatt
Brendan Ocran
Rhys Williams

Dont think they made any first team appearances.

Personally surprised about Matt Briggs but he did have injury problems.

Let's be careful here, all other offered terms , lengths of and monetary values all compound to make personal unavailable .

Probably considered too lightweight, as I gather the club have made a bid for Colin Cork-Placemat as a replacement...

He would go down too easily, roll over and after a couple of coats of lacquer would be anyone's.

Any relation to Alan Cork?

Took me two days to get the joke.....

......but as a kid all I can remember is my gran's rock hard Victoria sponge cake and being given tea with condensed milk in a plastic mug. Paper frivolity and crooked little fingers was for the toffs.

We couldn't afford him when he left Orient although he was very complimentary about Colchester Utd. Two years have passed but would be drop down to League 2.
