Week 28 results

BARROW 0 STEVENAGE 0

10-man Barrow hang on to get a bore draw. Ex-U's Prosser got a 97th minute red card for Stevenage. Nobody got this spot-on, but 8 did have the outcome.

BRADFORD CITY 0 EXETER CITY 1
On-loan Huddersfield striker Kieran Phillips' first goal for Exeter made it five wins from six games for them. A magnificent 7 had this spot-on, and a further 6 got the outcome.

BRISTOL ROVERS 0 MANSFIELD TOWN 0
Mansfield stretched their unbeaten league run to 11 games with this bore draw. Nobody got this spot-on, but 4 did have the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Mansfield with 11 going for a 2-1 in what was equally the weeks most predicted score.

COLCHESTER UNITED 2 CARLISLE UNITED 2
Carlisle get a 86th minute equaliser, as Colchester continue to be influenced by Humes, no matter who the coach is. Again nobody had this spot-on, though 2 did get the outcome. 24 predicted a win for Colchester.

CRAWLEY TOWN 0 HARTLEPOOL UNITED 1
Hartlepool clinched their first away league win for nearly four months with a first-half goal from Omar Bogle. No points for anybody from this game, with 24 predicting a win for Crawley.

LEYTON ORIENT 0 SALFORD CITY 2
Two second-half goals win it for Salford, to now make it nine league games without a win for Orient. Well done to noah4x4 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 10 had the outcome.

NEWPORT COUNTY 3 OLDHAM ATHLETIC 3
Newport got a 89th minute equaliser in this six-goal thriller. Newport had an incredible 36 shots with 12 on target. Oldham replied with 14 shots that had 7 on target. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 4 did get the outcome. The other 23 predicted a win for Newport.

PORT VALE 0 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 0
Two teams going for promotion battled out a bore draw which featured precious little action. Well done to concordman for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 11 had the outcome.

ROCHDALE 3 HARROGATE TOWN 3
Rochdale get an 87th minute equaliser. It completed a gritty fightback after they found themselves 3-1 down early in the second half. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, though 5 did get the outcome.

SUTTON UNITED 1 FOREST GREEN ROVERS 1
Kane Wilson rescued a point for Forest Green, as they have now gone 19 league games unbeaten. Well done to MrHappy2 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 3 had the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Forest Green.

SWINDON TOWN 3 SCUNTHORPE UNITED 0
Three second-half goals finally give Swindon a comfortable victory. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and a further 21 got the outcome.

WALSALL 1 TRANMERE ROVERS 0
Conor Wilkinson's late penalty halted Walsall's seven-match losing streak, with their only shot on target. 3 got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Tranmere with 11 going for a 1-0 in what was the weeks other most predicted score.

The season of unpredictable results continued in a big way this week. With the well supported Mansfield, Colchester, Crawley, Newport, Forest Green and Tranmere all failing to win, together with two 3-3 draws and three bore draws, we had a recipe for a disasterous week. In fact seven draws overall only produced two 3 pointers, and it was left to the wins for Exeter and Swindon to put any gloss on things. To quote GOSBTS, he said "Expecting this to be a low scoring week for me as I’m pants at predicting League Two". With the results from that league this week he could be excused for continuing to be pants, but instead he was top-notch, as he was one of four members to get two 3 pointers, the wins for Exeter and Swindon, and with four outcomes, he is the weeks top scorer with an excellent 10 points. The others to get two 3 pointers were concordman, who had the Exeter 1-0 to go with the good Port Vale 0-0 prediction, and Lewis_1, who had the 1-0 wins for Exeter and Walsall. They both had two outcomes to give them a very decent 8 points. And finallt noah4x4, who had the Exeter 1-0 to go with his good Salford 2-0 prediction. He also had one outcome to give him a decent 7 points.
After today's results the 1-0 and the 1-1 remain locked together on 23 each in the race to be the seasons top result. They are four ahead of the 0-1, that is best for an away win.

In the Premier By getting the Exeter 1-0 spot-on TheFatGooner has stretched his lead to a decent 7 points. This is the largest lead he has had in his seven week reign at the top. Four outcomes for RSCOSWORTH were just enough for him to hold onto second, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from concordman, who continued his rapid rise, by moving up a place to another season high third. That rise is thanks to the 45 points he has gleaned in the last seven weeks, after he was ninth in Week 21. Just two outcomes for unitedwhites, and he drops back to the final Super Cup spot again. A 3 pointer each for ghughes11, the Walsall 1-0, and basher2010, the Exeter 1-0, keeps them fifth and sixth. Up a place is mfb_cufc, as he takes advantage of a no show from Sector4. At the bottom there is a significant change with the decent week for noah4x4 moving him out of the relegation zone for the first time since Week 9. He is replaced by Daniel, who finds himself in the bottom three for the first time this season. But with only 12 points separating a Super Cup spot to a relegation place, anything is possible in the last 76 games of the season.

In Division One Four outcomes was enough for blueeagle to maintain top spot. But his lead has been whittled away to just a point, as the decent week for Lewis_1 moved him back into the other automatic spot. Outcomes for Tropical_Us and wessex_exile, in third and fourth. Up two places, and back into the play-offs is gerry_us, thanks to having the Swindon 3-0 spot-on. But it is only on the most 3 pointer rule from thrillseeker, who had the Exeter 1-0 spot-on to remain in the play-offs, and BFG, who had the Walsall 1-0 spot-on, to move him closer to the play-offs than he has been all season. A 3 pointer each for MrHappy2 and burnsieespana, keeps them well in contention for a play-off place. It is then a 9 point gap back to the weeks top scorer GOSBTS, who need more of the same to get him involved with the play-offs.

THE TABLES (204 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
