Famous for that goal in 1972 against Newcastle.
Coincidentally Hereford are playing Pompey tonight in the Cup score currently 3-1 to the league team.
The pitch bears no resemblance to that quagmire in the 70s though!

Merely 39 die-hard fans on the CUSA bus to Newport, but in good cheer celebrating an England T20 win (watched on SkyGo) and an ‘Ultimate Big Breakfast’ at Membury Services that lived up to its billing. Doubtful if a half time pie will be required after that.

No starter, but I do have a soft spot for a Walls Flake Cornetto dessert. £0.50 in Tesco (within box of four) but £2.30 each in WH Smith's at motorway services. Rip off, but irresistible.
Percy Pig chewies from M & S and sticky Yum Yums from Gregs are always fan favourites on any CUSA bus. Food, Beer and an oppportunity to share the misery is now the only cheer we get on away trips. | | | |

Sadly it wouldn't be the first time.
I'm waiting for the Cowling out banners to be unfurled at Gresty Road.
The faithful are angry. We are being outplayed by mediocre sides.
Many of us can remember always beating Newport comfortably and now the tables are well and truly reversed.
It is an embarrassment and becoming too predictable.
The lone striker is ineffective. Too many players are simply not good enough.
The other teams seem to want it more than us.
Yes I know confidence is low but we are incapable of putting teams to the sword.
Too few goals means insufficient wins and the defending is lamentable.
Colchester always had a quality goal keeper but we have two presently who make howlers every game.
I'm not going on because it is so depressing.
I know it's only football but it does matter and to be ridiculed every game is unacceptable.
Perhaps time for the youngsters who are fast pace and enthusiastic also they are not loanees who frankly are going back to their parent club at Christmas.
