Week 6 results

EXETER CITY 1 LEYTON ORIENT 2

Orient came from behind to record a deserved win at former League One leaders Exeter thanks to Ruel Sotiriou's 92nd minute winner. No points for anybody from this game, with 24 predicting a win for Exeter.

STEVENAGE 2 CARLISLE UNITED 2
Stevenage moved to the top of the League One table despite Joe Garner's 90th minute header earning Carlisle a point. Again nobody had this spot-on, and only Lewis_1 got the outcome. 24 predicted a win for Stevenage with 11 going for a 1-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

AFC WIMBLEDON 1 STOCKPORT COUNTY 2
Will Collar struck the winner with his first goal of the season as Stockport came from behind to defeat Wimbledon and end the hosts' unbeaten start in League Two. Well done to Sector4 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and only noah4x4 and ghughes11 had the outcome.

COLCHESTER UNITED 2 TRANMERE ROVERS 0
Fantastic performance from the U's, where their 27 shots with 12 on target, deserved more than the two goals that gave them victory. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and a further 15 got the outcome.

MILTON KEYNES DONS 1 NOTTS COUNTY 1
Kyle Cameron's excellent equaliser stretched County's unbeaten run to six league games in an entertaining draw. A super 6 got this spot-on, and another 3 had the outcome.

WREXHAM 2 DONCASTER ROVERS 1
Former U's loanee Elliot Lee scored an 88th minute winner for Wrexham in a game which saw Paul Mullin return to action following his recovery from a punctured lung. A sublime 5 had the this spot-on, and a further 18 got the outcome.

I started last weeks update by saying "Another week with a mixed bag of results", Words that are appropriate again this week, though it was the first week this season without an outrageous scoreline. At the 39th attempt we finally got the seasons first 1-1 result. In fact during the aternnoon five of the six games had a 1-1 scoreline, but late winners for Orient and Wrexham left us with just the one in the end. With all the extra added time in games this season, late goals are going to be more prevalent than ever. With the two good things in League 1 failing to deliver, it was left to the four League 2 games to give us a respectable 17 spot-ons in total. After failing to get a 3 pointer in the first 37 games this season, three came along all at once for unitedwhites, the wins for Colchester and Wrexham, and the MK Dons draw, to make him the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 9 points. There was two members who did well to have two 3 pointers, they were Danierl and Blue4U2, who both got the wins for Colchester and Wrexham, to give them a decent 6 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer were RSCOSWORTH and wessex_exile, who both got the MK Dons 1-1, and noah4x4, who had the Colchester 2-0. They each also got two outcomes, to give them all a solid 5 points.

In the Premier By having the Wrexham 2-1 spot-on concordman stretched his lead to 4 points, from ghughes11, who replied with three outcomes. Two outcomes were enough for thrillseeker to remain third, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from noah4x4, who moves up a place to fourth. The brilliant top scoring performance from unitedwhites moves him up a massive seven places, off the bottom to fifth. This big rise stopped anybody else making an upward move in this division. Having the good Stockport 2-1 prediction couldn't get Sector4 out of the relegation zone, but once again he moved ahead of mfb_cufc, whose continued struggle drops him back into the bottom three. An unfortunate missed week for GOSBTS, drops him to the bottom again. With 3 pointers at a premium in this division, there are only 6 points separating third to third from bottom.

In Division One We have a new leader in this league for the first time this season. After leading for the first five weeks, two outcomes were not enough for BFG to make it six, and he has to settle for other automatic spot, as the decent week for Daniel moves him to the top. The decent week for Blue4U2 made sure of him remaining third. Another solid week for wesex_exile moved him up a place to fouth. After making that fourth place his own for the last four weeks, Tropical_us drops a place to fifth. Up a couple of places are Madeira163 and bwildered, who both got the MK Dons 1-1 spot-on. It is the former who takes the final play-off place on the first to post rule. By only 5 hours to be exact. The other upward moves in this league came from the only other ones to get a 3 pointer, with Colukev, who got the Wrexham 2-1, and durham_exile, who had his beloved U's 2-0, both moving up a place. At the bottom, newbie TheRams is now the only one waiting for their first 3 pointer this season. But with only 1/7th of the season gone, and just 9 points from the play-offs, it is still all to play for.

THE TABLES (40 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
