After losing their last four games, Norwich eased the pressure on boss David Wagner, as a spectacular late fightback saw them win. Nobody had this spot-on, and only bwildered got the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Cardiff, with 13 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.
CARLISLE UNITED 0 BRISTOL ROVERS 1
Ten-man Rovers earned a hard-fought win to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches. 3 got this spot-on, and 3 also had the outcome.
NORTHAMPTON TOWN 2 BURTON ALBION 0
Northampton ended their six-game winless run with two goals in a dominant second-half. 4 had this spot-on, and another 8 got the outcome.
GRIMSBY TOWN 3 MORECAMBE 2
Grimsby scored three goals in 11 second-half minutes to come from behind and win their first league game since sacking Paul Hurst. Nobody got this spot-on, but 9 did have the outcome.
WALSALL 0 HARROGATE TOWN 1
Substitute George Thomson's late strike made history as Harrogate claimed a fourth consecutive away win in the EFL for the first time. Well done to TheRams for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 3 got the outcome. 21 predicted a win for Walsall.
Yet another tough week, so poor it was the worst week of the season so far. The weeks banker Man Utd could only produce outcomes, but at least they did save six members from firing a blank. With only 9 spot-ons in total, one member did well to get two 3 pointers, that was basher2010, who had the wins for Bristol Rovers and Northampton, and the Man Utd outcome, to make him the weeks top scorer with a decent 7 points. Best of those to get one 3 pointer were oxfcolu, BFG and gerry_us, who all had the Northampton 2-0, and mfb_cufc with that Man Utd 1-0. They each also got two outcomes, to give them all a solid 5 points.
The two 0-1's this week continue to make that the top result of the season with 13. Three ahead of the 1-1 in second.
Happy Cup The draw and fixtures for the 2nd Round will be out next Thursday, after the FA Cup 1st Round replays have been played.
U'sual Champions League A first look into how the qualification for this competition is going. The qualification for this competition will be decided on Friday 29th December (Week 22). Last seasons winner unitedwhites will qualify automatically, the other eleven qualifiers will be the highest point scorers over the two divisions on the aforementioned date. The member currently in that eleventh spot is wesssex_exile with his 64 points. But with nine members within 6 points of that total, it very much all to play for.
In the Premier Having the Bristol Rovers 1-0 spot-on continued the impressive record for concordman of getting a 3 pointer almost every week, in what has been a tough season. At the same time he increased his lead to a very decent 11 points. Two outcomes was enough for unitedwhites to remain in the other Charity Shield spot. The Man Utd outcome keeps thrillseeker in third. The solid week for mfb_cufc moved him up a place to fourth. The other upward moves came from RSCOSWORTH, up a place, and oxfcolu, also up a place, thanks to having the Northampton 2-0 spot-on, and out of the bottom three again.
In Division One The top scoring performance from basher2010 continued his good recent run, and increased his lead to a healthy 6 points. After knocking on the door for the last three weeks, TheRams finally made into the other automatic spot, thanks to that good Harrogate 1-0 prediction. Only two outcomes for Jorash63, but it was enough to move him up a place to third, as he took advantage of Daniel firing a rare blank. Three outcomes for Tropical_Us moved him up a place to fifth, ahead of wessex_exile in the final play-off spot. After going eight weeks without a 3 pointer, BFG dropped back to eleventh, but getting a 3 pointer in each of the last two weeks, has moved him back up to seventh, and just two points to within the play-offs. The others to improve their positions were Blue4U2, who moved up a place after getting a good four outcomes, gerry_us, who moved up a couple of places with his solid week, and finally burnsieespana, who moved up a place.
