A taboo subject for sure.

The police were investigating the fraud case for six years.

So I wonder if they were following the civil law case that Mitchell Cowling was involved in that also had elements of fraud involving Texo Scaffolding.

Anyone interested in this case should check out the listing at Stuart Cribb Chambers. Mitchell Cowling's company at that time was M&M Sports Management Limited.

I would have expected Mitchell to resign from his position at Maldon and Tiptree F.C., or perhaps it would have been for the best if he had looked to do something with his future well away from football before becoming the "General Manager' at M&T.

Let's hope he can finally turn his life around. He is quite a story.

I also followed events at Waterford F.C. and wonder if a further development lurks on the horizon.

Essex Police

'recordings and conversations'

'examining phone recordings'

The conversations that took place in the Weston Homes Community Stadium ( as it was then known ), the car park and other locations would be of interest too.

They were off the scale. It's a shame they weren't recorded and played over the sound system on match day.

That would have doubled the crowds and bought in much needed revenue.

A soundtrack CD could have been released and sold in the club shop and online.

Irish Mirror 4 June, 2021

'Mitchell Cowling, a business consultant of Forrest's has been appointed as Waterford's new chairman'.

Business consultant? ( Actually, yes, in the widest sense of the term ).

A close associate of Lee Power who 'sold' Waterford F.C to Richard Forrest lives in Colchester.

We met up yesterday to discuss Swindon Town who have some difficult issues to address. Some of you will be aware that Roman Abramovich is ( was ) linked to Lee Power....and to Swindon Town in a roundabout way.

Lee Power is a very interesting individual.

Colchester is also home to a former major stakeholder in Chelsea. He has just moved to a rather nice property in Lexden. We had a 'coffee morning' this week and he has a mild interest in Colchester United.

Maldon and Tiptree have avoided Colchester United in Round 4 of The Essex Senior Cup.

Should the two clubs have faced one another what would Liam Bailey's role have been as he appears to coach one side and manage another?

An interesting question also should the sides be drawn against one another in the F.A. Cup at any time in the future.

Some Colchester United fans may recall the following from September 1st, 2023.

'COLCHESTER United have made their FIRST signing of deadline day after bringing in attacking midfielder Yassine En-Neyah'.

This player made 26 appearances for Waterford in 2022 and l wonder if we will ever see him in a Colchester United shirt?

So, who pays his wages and at what cost l wonder?

What have his performances been like at M & T? Anybody know?

One would hope ok since we have him on a one year contract.

He actually played for Truro between Waterford and Colchester United, or should l say M&T.

I think he may have made his debut for Maldon and Tiptree when they lost 8-0 at Biggleswade!

I have had to delve into the Colchester United Wiki page to have a re-cap on who has gone where in respect of the all of the players who have moved out on loan.

The Colchester United Official page does not appear to have been updated and makes no reference to many of the players who are scattered all over the UK.

Maldon and Tiptree have five players on loan from Colchester United but since these transactions have taken place The Jammers have had a real dip in form.

I am not sure if Peter Taylor was over keen on giving Colchester loanees too much game time during his time as Manager.

The former Truro and Waterford midfielder referenced in a previous posting is still at M&T but appears to be featuring less and less ( he had been injured ) and l wonder if the Cowley's are even aware he is a Colchester United registered player? - perhaps in name only because this was a very strange signing.

Jamie Cureton has taken charge of M&T for the time being.
