I’m of the opposite opinion to you. I know it’s fashionable to hate Leeds but I think they’re a proper club with proper support through thick and thin, I’d rather them go up automatically, Ipswich won’t blow this now though, I’d put some money on it.

Personally I’d rather get rid of the big teams. Doesn’t look likely now, but I’d rather Leeds went up and Southampton won the playoffs. We’d be more likely to finish above Ipswich than either of them next season

That depends who goes up with Leicester. As things stand the 4 teams in the play off places are all getting parachute payments, but West Brom are in their last season of getting it.

If Ipswich and West Brom go up, then according to my calculations there’ll be 7 teams getting the payments next year namely, the 3 coming down this season, Watford plus Leeds, Southampton and Norwich.

If Leeds go up in the auto spot and Southampton or Norwich get the play off place then it will be down to 5.

7 teams on parachute payments would make life very difficult for the other 17 teams.
