Listened to Viv Anderson on the radio, regards the FA bid to host the World cup finals . He stated it is time to break from this organisation because the English bid was promised bids that did not materalise from other countries and the FIFA criteria was to take football to new pastures, so a bid from England was already worthless ,( except £15 m ) .
So why only except a bid, was it just has a extra jolly ?
Well he has a point .
Personally, just goes to show the people who run the English FA organisation have more money than sense , and Englands standing on the world stage is on par with its football success.
Perhaps we will now have less meaning less friendlies at Wembly against countries who promised votes , which mean we could play with ourselves.
