Equally Jamal Campbell-Ryce, whilst playing on loan for us was promoted twice in one day; with Scummend and the Super U's in May 2006. We haven't kicked off yet, lets give the guys a chance. This could be a great season. Up the U's

Quiz question on 08:14 - Aug 4 with 557 views | noah4x4 | The particular trees are called Cracking Willows because every 200 years they crack and fall. Sadly, a women got killed by one in the Avenue of Remembrance; then residents of the new houses complained; then the Council takes drastic "health and safety" action to the horror of the cricket club membership. It's ghastly and unnecessary when they perhaps could have just lopped off the crowns. But now you can sit and watch cricket free from the new houses that have wonderful unobstructed views over parkland. Hmmmmmm! I wonder what motivated them?

Quiz question on 19:04 - Aug 4 with 523 views | Leadbelly | Just returned from day one at Castle Park. Everyone I spoke to was far from impressed with what has been done to the trees. We now have a splendid view of ugly modern housing instead of mature trees. Overreaction in my opinion.

Quiz question on 22:06 - Aug 5 with 484 views | noah4x4 | Agreed Leadbelly. It is scandalous. But beyond the control of the local cricket club Next outrage though is it was announced by Essex CC that "former mayor" Bob Russell had invited Essex CCC to rename the same "Catchpole Road End" to become the "Trevor Bayliss End", which (surprise, suprise) happens to be the name of the housing developments principle road. How dare he give away Colchester cricket club assets without consultation with the cricket club's membership or offering a sponsorship payment for the naming rights. [Post edited 5 Aug 2016 22:08]
