Good man.

What counts as your nearest "local" game this season? Ferry to Pompey perhaps?

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

Bravo gsy163!!

I will let Guerno answer Whalers but last season Pompey probably was closest for both of us and I got there.

This season I think I may need Crawley as my nearest what with Bournemouth being promoted too., Swindon and Brentford are not too tricky from my new island as for the Viking from his island I really don't know Crewe no Tranmere probably

Its all good fun!!

I confess I'm not aware of Egil BluenWightExilesson's new island home. Do tell.

Interesting. Nearest league clubs probably Blackpool & Fleetwood. Or even Carlisle if he's resident in the north of the island.

Good question.
Obviously the dream nearest local game would be a First round FA cup tie against Guernsey !!!!!

With no Bournemouth, Yeovil or Pompey I reckon as crow flies Bristol at 161.6 miles is probably the nearest. However another way to look at things is travel time so clubs nearby to airport that Guernsey flights land at is another factor i look at. Again Bristol is there or there abouts, along with Crawley (gatwick) and Wolves (Birmingham)and home games although one flight a day to Stansted at silly times make them a 2 night trip.

Ashton Gate is one of the grounds that I have yet to visit. I will definitely be there this season.

BluenWight - a Huddersfield Town supporter has also told me about the seats!

Just looking forward to three points!

Don't worry Durham, no place for the fainthearted at Ashton Gate, so bugger the seat-backs, we'll all be stood at the back recreating the Hampden Roar thanks to the excellent acoustics afforded by the Wedlock - see you there
