Week 8 results LEICESTER CITY 1 BRISTOL CITY 0 A Jamie Vardy penalty wins it for Leicester, and they keep their first clean sheet at home in 17 games, as Bristol City only manage one shot on target. 25 predicted a win for Leicester, but surprisingly nobody got it spot-on. with 10 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. ROTHERHAM UNITED 1 PRESTON NORTH END 1 Preston slipped from the top of the Championship table as they were held to a draw by struggling Rotherham, who took a suprise lead with their only shot on target. Only 2 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. 21 predicted a win for Preston. WEST BROMWICH ALBION 0 MILLWALL 0 It is now four games without a win for West Brom after this bore draw, and it could have been worse as Millwall miss a 28th minute penalty. Nobody got this spot-on, but 8 did have the outcome. BLACKPOOL 4 READING 1 Jordan Rhodes' first hat-trick for nearly four years helped Blackpool blow away Reading, as they double their goals for the season. Again nobody had this spot-on, though 16 did get the outcome. BURTON ALBION 1 FLEETWOOD TOWN 1 Burton and Fleetwood ground out a hard-fought draw at the Pirelli Stadium in a game high on effort but lacking in quality. Only 2 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Swindon. After the results last week I thought we may have at last got the season up and running, but it was a step back again this week, with a struggle for most. Though with the renaissance of the 1-0 and 1-1 continuing, it should have been better. But after the 1-0 win for Newcastle failed to achieve a 3 pointer last week, Leicester followed suit this week. With the other home win for Blackpool being a where did that come from result, it was left to the four draws from the other games to give us the weeks 3 pointers. Not a good week for those who don't predict games to end in a draw, but it was a good reward for the ones who do, and three members had two 3 pointers. They were Tropical_Us who got the ones at Rotherham and Burton, and gerry_us, who had the ones at Burton and Morecambe. They both also had the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes, to give them a share of being the weeks top scorer with an excellent 8 points each. The draws at Burton and Morecambe were also achieved by TheRams to give him a decent 6 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was RSCOSWORTH and Colukev who each had the Burton 1-1 and also the Leicester and West Brom outcomes to give them both a solid 5 points. In the Premier With last weeks top four just getting the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes, that means concordman maintains his healthy 7 point lead over ghughes11, who in turn remains a point ahead of thrillseeker in third. He now heads a group of three on the tie-breaker rules, as RSCOSWORTH moves up a couple of places to fourth, and noah4x4 drops a place to fifth. An impressive four outcomes for unitedwhites, but he also drops a place to sixth. Having the Burton 1-1 spot-on helped Sector4 to move out of the relegation zone, and up to seventh. Just the Leicester outcome for blueeagle, and he drops a place to eighth. Getting the Rotherham 1-1 spot-on also got Moor_Pinot out of the bottom three, and he moves up to ninth. Just the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes also for mfb_cufc, and he drops back into relegation places again. Joining him for the first time is oxfcolu after he only had the Leicester outcome for his weeks work. Another unfortunate missed week for GOSBTS has already left him with a bit to do, but with things so tight in this division, there is plenty of time to catch up. In Division One Three outcomes for Daniel were enough for him to take his run at the top into a third week. His lead is reduced by a couple of points, as wessex_exile was another to get the Burton 1-1 spot-on. The solid week for Colukev moved him another couple of places to third, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from Tropical_Us, whose top scoring performance moved him up a big six places. Just the Leicester and West Brom outcomes for Blue4U2, and he drops to fifth. Just the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes for early season leader BFG, and he takes up the final play-off place. It is now a 3 point gap to the chasing back, with bwildered just heading that on the first to post rule from Madeira163. Just the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes for basher2010, and he has the sequence over the last five weeks of being 9th, 6th, 9th, 6th and back to 9th this week, on the most 3 pointer rule from Lewis_1. The top scoring performance from gerry_us moved him up three places, and suddenly only 5 points from the play-offs. Just the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes also for burnsieespana, and he drops another place. Just the Leicester outcome for Jorash63, and he also drops a place. Despite having a decent week TheRams also drops a place, though reduces the deficit to the play-offs. The final one this week to just have the Leicester and Blackpool outcomes is durham_exile, and he remains bottom.
