Should they stay or should they go? 14:09 - Apr 22 with 516 viewsLeadbelly

In an ideal world, forgetting current contracts etc, which current U's players do you think have done enough or shown enough potential this season to be allowed to put on a Col U shirt on 3rd August 2013?

My list is quite short;

David Wright
Drey Wright
Jabo Ibhere
Tom Eastman
Gavin Massey
John White

I'd also add loan players;

Sam Walker
Bradley Garmston
Gearoge Porter
Sanchez Watt
Craig Eastmond

I think we should wait and do this next Monday when we know what division we're going to be in!

And...no Sears?

Even if we go down I'd still have the same list.

And there would still be no Sears. A slightly more mobile version of Jamie Guy in my opinion. Works hard but giving him a three year deal was a huge mistake.

Thing is if we go down most of your list won't be staying / joining anyway! And surely deciding on a squad for League One is different to deciding on a squad for League Two?

Personally I don't think he did enough on loan to deserve a three year deal but he has scored eight goals this season and a fair number of his apperances have come from the bench. He looked sharp against Yeovil and if he hadn't got injured we'd be safe already and he'd have ten or more goals. If he has an injury free season and plays regularly he will score 15+ goals for us.

This isn't exactly what you'd call a big selling point, but in League 2 we'd be one of the notable royalties, as it were. Players will want to be here. This is a no-brainer.

Poll: In Daniel's PL, Sector4 is top, I'm 2nd or 3rd depending on the update

Can't see us being "royalty" despite being a Championship side on recent years.

I think we would have amongst lowest attendances.

There are some far bigger clubs than us in Division Two

14 clubs in Division Two have higher average attendances than the U's in Division One. A surprising number in the Conference exceed us.

Relegation at this stage of our development will be a disaster. We will be associated with the Accrington's, Rochdales and Fleetwoods, when there are far bigger clubs.

Ok guys - we will survive in a dramatic game at Brunton Park.

Then on Monday we can discuss the team to play next season in League One.

Instead can we simply have more U's shots on target?

Until we and Swindon score, the tension will be unbearable as we rarely keep clean sheets away.
