Delighted for George and Maidstone Utd after beating Ipswich. His comments before and after the game were humble but informed and you could hear the passion in his voice. His players had nothing but good things to say and they clearly love playing for him.
I’m sure other clubs will take note and I really hope he is given due consideration when “bigger” jobs are available.

Couldn’t agree more.
Some may dislike the Cowley’s direct football but we have persisted with tippy tappy football for too long with a squad that’s not good enough to play that way. We are in trouble in League 2 so need an injection of realism, simplify our approach and play to our strengths.

Good question. There will be people out there who could sort out the shambles, if given a free rein, but I have no confidence that RC would allow that.
Transfer window is now open and we need desperately to have a good one. Unfortunately I have little confidence in that happening either. |

Agreed on the ambiguity. RC does have a track record of keeping on ex head coaches in other positions so won’t be a big surprise if ME hangs around. |

Etherington has said plans are in place should Taylor be recalled. That suggests it could happen.
Looking at it from Luton’s perspective they may feel Taylor’s development is being hindered playing in a struggling side where coaching seems very limited. To protect his and their interests a recall followed by a possible loan elsewhere may be prudent. Let’s face it, there will be plenty of interest in a young striker who has scored double figures in the first half of the season for a struggling side that doesn’t play to his strengths. |
