Ward Makes First Signings Tuesday, 29th Jun 2010 18:31 With David Prutton and Phil Ifil leaving the club, John Ward has moved quickly to bring in replacements, signing midfielder Andrew Bond and winger Brian Wilson. Andrew Bond is Ward’s first signing since taking over the managerial reigns at United Way. The 24-year-old midfielder has signed on a two-year deal from non-league Barrow. 27-year-old Wilson has signed on free transfer, after being released by Bristol City, and is a familiar player to Ward having played under him at Cheltenham Town. He is said to be a player who can play both defensive and attacking roles on the wing Meanwhile, it's been confirmed that three players are currently on a two-week trial at the club - these are Lloyd James (released by Southampton), James Walker (released by Gillingham) and Ben Coker (Bury Town) - all three are expected to play in the pre-season friendly at Dover Athletic on 10th July.
