I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.
Long ago I read that there was a long line of actors wanting guest appearances on Frasier as they loved the show so that might explain why. Michael Keaton was brilliant.
As for the Frasier reboot, well there is Nick Lyndhurst.
Saw the first episode of Pluribus on Apple TV last night. A stunning sci-fi thriller created by Vince Gilligan and starring the peerless Rhea Seehorn. The Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul pedigree is irresistable.
Really struggling with the last series of "The Bear" I've put off watching it for a while. It looks and sounds great, but there is something not right about it. The jeopardy is all wrong, and I don't like how it was bracketed as a comedy in order to win some awards, thats wrong.
I've also been watching "The Old Man" which is better, but maybe they've drawn it out too long as well.
Black Rabbit was also poor imho. Looks great, but it had that similar combination of unlikeable characters, so you have no vested interest in seeing them succeed.
Gave Dark Winds another go as I originally watched the first episode years ago and didn't like it enough to carry on. I have just the last episode of season 2 to see then on to season 3 binge watching. Very good. Season 4 on the way according to my stream app.
Vince Gilligan, the writer of Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, has a new show out called Pluribus.
Two episodes in and it's great. It's like nothing I've seen before.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.
The casting of Daphne's Brothers from Manchester is a weird kink in a fine programme - an Aussie, Robbie Coltrane from Scotland and Richard E. Grant, from Swaziland and 1890's Oxbridge.
There’s an episode where Frasier goes into the “Bridish” ex-pat bar the Daphne frequents and the whole place is full of those awful attempts at London/Cockney that sound more like Aussie.
I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.
I’m a bit late on this one but I’ve just got into Sneaky Pete (Netflix).
A confidence trickster comes out of Prison and, learning his old debts weren’t cleared after all, decides to take the persona of someone else in the jail, whose family haven’t heard of in 20 years.
Created by and starring Bryan Cranston. Can’t say I’d heard of Giovanni Ribisi who plays “Pete” before but he’s very good. Margot Nightingale, who is great in several shows and also from The Americans, Alison Wright. Quite a few from Justified in it as well.

I've now had two people recommend The Beast In Me on Netflix, apparently very very good. So will start that some point soon, has any one seen it?
For something a bit more light hearted and those into nature I enjoyed watching Hamza's Wild Isles on iPlayer. He is such a likeable person and his passion and genuine delight for getting to see some of Britain's more hidden wildlife is really heart warming. Sometimes nature programmes can be a bit same old but this was really enjoyable.

Watched the first 3 episodes of The Beast in Me this weekend. Good stuff but I'm expecting Carrie Mathison to wake up in a pool of sweat at the end - the whole thing was a dream and she's still in Iraq.
The only question she'll have is why Mike from Breaking Bad was in it.
Both actors give pretty much identical performances to those roles anyway, which is no bad thing.
I normally love Asian horror/zombie series but Zomvivor on Netflix is bloody dreadful. Loads of characters failing to observe the most basic of zombie survivor skills: they all deserve what they get and you end up rooting for the zombies. The girl whose mobile phone alarm goes off but she can’t remember how to turn it off so runs around screaming whilst still holding said zombie attracting phone was an utter embarrassment.
Gentle stuff, English maidens with rosy cheeks, chaps with nice hats, Blighty at her best.
Fairly decent whodunnits, even if they always seem to follow the whodunnit rule that the crack detectives never catch the murderer until there's been at least one more murder.
I always think there's another detective off-screen, muttering "I'm better than him but they won't give me a case cos I don't have a hat".

Secret Army is around to watch on Sky, still very good.
Realistic to, they try to get downed airmen back home through Spain. Any airman who looks like he will be trouble is either despatched or handed over to the Germans.

That looks good. Thanks for the recc.
I have an awful soft spot for spy stuff.

Is that the excellent original series from the late 1970’s or a remake?
I’ve just seen Killed By Lightning, a 4 part Netflix historical drama on the election and assassination of President James Garfield in 1881. I knew nothing about it but it’s a great story despite some anachronistic dialogue and girlboss silliness and Matthew MacFadyean is the pick of an excellent cast as the assassin.
