Week 23 Results BURTON 0 WIGAN 2 Connolly scores twice on his debut, as Wigan improve their survival hopes. Well done to ethicsgirl for being the only one to get this spot-on,in what was only the fourth 0-2 result we have had this season, and just 3 had the outcome. There were 15 who predicted a win for Burton. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 2 HUDDERSFIELD 0 10-man Huddersfield's 8-match unbeaten run comes to an end. Only 2 had this spot-on, but 11 did get the outcome, with 9 going for a 2-1, and the joint weeks most predicted score. CHARLTON 0 MILLWALL 0 Millwall extend their unbeaten run to six games, with this bore draw. Nobody got this spot-on, but a big 13 had the outcome, with 9 going for a 1-1, and the other most predicted score. CHESTERFIELD 1 COVENTRY 0 A late winner for managerless Chesterfield, was good news for the 5 who had this spot-on, and the 11 who got the outcome. OLDHAM 1 GILLINGHAM 0 Oldham end a 10-match winless run, in Sheridan's first game in charge. Another popular result with 6 getting it spot-on, and 6 also having the outcome. BARNET 1 DONCASTER 3 Doncaster came from behind to stay 4 points clear at the top of League 2. There were 3 who had this spot-on, in what was only the second 1-3 result we have had this season, and another 10 got the outcome. This was a week that pretty much went to form, with only the Wigan win any sort of shock. Though with Burton in freefall, not really too much of a surprise. As for getting those important 3 pointers, it was all about having the 1-0 wins for Chesterfield and Oldham. Mrhappy continued his good recent run by having both of these spot-on, on the way to a very good 7 points. A good effort, but not enough to be the weeks top scorer. That honour was shared this week with noah4x4 making nonsense of his inability to pick 3 pointers, by getting three, the wins for Sheff Wed, Chesterfield and Doncaster, to give him an impressive 9 points. This total was also matched by Blue4U2, who had the wins for Chesterfield and Doncaster spot-on, and three other outcomes. Two other performances of merit this week came from ethicsgirl and desthegooner, who both had one spot-on, and four other outcomes, to get them a decent 7 points. In the Premier, with five other outcomes mfb_cufc has reduced the burnsieespana lead to a more manageable 3 points. The current champ ethicsgirl, is up a place, and right back into Charity Shield contention. The form person of this league, with more points than anybody over the past four weeks, is jonestones, and with two more spot-on (the wins for Sheff Wed and Oldham), he is up another two places, but still not out of the threat of relegation. With only 3 points in the last two weeks, Tropical_Us is now faced with that same threat as well. Four weeks without a 3 pointer is not helping BFG in his quest to get off the bottom. In Division One, a solid week for the top two, was enough for basher2010 to maintain a good 6 point lead, but it wasn't good enough for Colukev to hold onto the other automatic spot, as he is overhauled by the resurgent mrhappy. The top scoring effort from noah4x4 didn't move him up any places, but he is now only a point off an automatic spot. The weeks other top scorer Blue4U2, along with desthegooner, both moved up three places, and they are now well in contention for the play-offs. Moving three the other way is durham_exile, who is suffering for going four weeks without a 3 pointer. THE TABLES (166 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 24 Fixtures CRYSTAL PALACE v EVERTON ASTON VILLA v PRESTON DERBY v READING MK DONS v NORTHAMPTON WALSALL v BRISTOL ROVERS WYCOMBE v LUTON Good luck everybody.
