I feel if Bonne was going to "make it" he would have done so by now. No manager over the last five years have seemed to really rate him because otherwise he would have been played plus both his ventures into the National League last year did not exactly lead to a hatful of goals.
We have to accept a lot of players coming through the academy will not make it through in the same way, we pick up players from academies of Premiership/Championship clubs.
If we got around £85k for Bonne which seems possible we have done a decent bit of business since he wanted to move on.
As regards people like Elokobi in reality we got six months out of him on a two year contract! Significantly no other league club seemed to be after him.
