Time for a change? 10:41 - Jan 14 with 962 viewsLeadbelly

Very distressing to see turmoil at the Shrimpers this season. Pressure increasing on Phil Brown as his side slide down League One after losing eight of the last nine league games. Plenty of Southend fans calling for Brown to go but I hope he stays for the rest of the season. More chance of an Essex derby next season if he does.

I would love them to pass us on their way down as we go up.

However unlikely that may seem after our abject results recently.

Essex derby next season in League Two more likely than League One at the moment.

Sadly true.

Still hope springs eternal.

I hate going to Roots Hall. Worst football ground with the worst away end in the EFL. Seats and legroom too small. Shocking on site catering, paddling in pee in the urinals. Local pubs grotty. Just ghastly.

My hope is hence that we pass them at seasons end.

Not sure if you were at Adams Park Noah, but we weren't paddling in pee there, we were wading in it...

Phil Brown placed on gardening leave, and club has thanked the efforts of his back room staff . Not much to prune this time of year , but can keep your tools clean . Got a spare barrow anyone .

I was at Adams Park, and did hear that one of the urinals was like a lake, but I used the other. No real ale on site, only lager and sweet cider. That saved my need to go twice as I only had two 330ml ciders.

Adams Park is poor, but gets my vote over Roots Hall as the Shrimpers don't sell any alcohol in the away end. Wycombe has, at least made an effort and the burgers were good. Roots Hall has zero redeeming features.
