Week 26 Results

BOURNEMOUTH 2 STOKE 1

Bournemouth came from behind to win, and take their unbeaten league run to seven. There were 4 who got this spot-on, and a further 10 had the outcome.

BRIGHTON 3 WEST HAM 1
Brighton bring an end to their six game winless run in the league, as they end the West Ham unbeaten six game league run. Nobody had this spot-on, but 6 did get the outcome.

LEEDS 1 CARDIFF 4
Cardiff thrash a Leeds team who had a player sent off for the fourth time in five games. Again no 3 pointers for anybody, though 8 did have the outcome.

READING 0 MILLWALL 2
Millwall get a second consecutive away win, after failing to win in their previous 21 away league games. Again nobody had this spot-on, and just 3 got the outcome. There were 15 who predicted a win for Reading.

BURY 1 BLACKPOOL 1
Bury came from behind to get a point, but look certain to be relegated. Surprisingly nobody got this spot-on, and only 2 had the outcome. There were 14 who predicted a win for Blackpool.

WALSALL 1 MK DONS 0
Walsall get a victory that boosted their survival hopes and kept MK Dons firmly in the drop zone. There were 3 who had this spot-on, and a further 11 got the outcome.

GRIMSBY 1 CHELTENHAM 1
Grimsby fail to hold onto their lead, and have now gone 11 games without a league win. Again 3 got this spot-on, and just the 1 had the outcome. There were 12 who predicted a victory for Grimsby, with 8 going for a 2-1, in what was equally the weeks most predicted result.

LINCOLN 2 SWINDON 2
Lincoln get a 93rd minute equalizer against 10-man Swindon. That was good news for the 2 who had this spot-on, and only 1 got the outcome. There were 17 who predicted a win for Lincoln, with 8 going for a 2-1, in what was the weeks other most predicted result.

A tough week overall with half the games failing to deliver a 3 pointer. One of those was the Bury 1-1 that brought to an end the 69 game run since we last had a 1-1 result. Ironically this was the only game that didn't have a 1-1 prediction. The other four games produced a reasonable return of twelve 3 pointers, but a poor return of just 42 outcomes, kept point scoring down. There were just two members who managed to get two 3 pointers. They were gerry_us, who had the Walsall 1-0 and the Lincoln 2-2, and with two outcomes, he is this weeks top scorer with an excellent 8 points. The other being Tropical_Us, who got 3 points for the Walsall 1-0 and the Grimsby 1-1, to give him a very good 6 points. That same total was also achieved by RSCOSWORTH and eagledares, who came out best of those who got one spot-on.

A reminder for those who have yet to post their Champions League predictions. The competition starts on Tuesday February 13th. All details can be found on the separate Champions League thread.

In the Premier We are back to how it was two weeks ago with thrillseeker leading noah4x4 by virtue of the most 3 pointer rule. Getting the Bournemouth 2-1 spot-on failed to help mfb_cufc close the gap on the front two, but he still has a 10 point cushion regarding the final Charity Shield spot. That is from RSCOSWORTH, with his decent week moving back to fourth. At the bottom four 3 pointers in the last three weeks for Tropical_Us, has put further daylight betweeen him and the final relegation spot.

In Division One Having the Grimsby 1-1 spot-on helped durham_exile maintain top spot. But that lead has been reduced to just a point as the top scoring effort from gerry_us moves him back into the other automatic spot. In what has been a closely fought league, the five point gap back to the play-off places is the biggest it has been all season. Another decent week for eagledares has finally moved him back into a play-off spot, as he takes advantage of a no show from Daniel. A good week for medicine_man and wessex_exile will give them hope that a play-off spot is still not impossible to achieve.

THE TABLES (188 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
