Week 10 results

GILLINGHAM 0 SOUTHEND 2

Simon Cox's brace secured Southend victory over Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium. There were 3 who got this spot-on, and 9 more had the outcome.

SCUNTHORPE 0 PETERBOROUGH 2
Matt Godden scored twice in seven minutes as Peterborough reclaimed second place in League One. There were 5 who had this spot-on, and a further 11 got the outcome.

NORTHAMPTON 2 FOREST GREEN 1
A 97th minute winner gave Northampton there first home victory this season, and brings an end to Forest Green's unbeaten start. That late winner was good news for the 6 who got this spot-on, and the 3 who had the outcome.

COLCHESTER 3 CRAWLEY 1
The U's go back into the play-off spots with this win, despite conceding a penalty that never was for the second week running. A decent 6 had this spot-on, with a further 22 getting the outcome.

EXETER 2 SWINDON 0
Exeter take their unbeaten run to seven with this win. A massive 10 got this spot-on, and another 17 had the outcome.

PORT VALE 2 LINCOLN 6
League Two leaders Lincoln produced a scintillating display, with six different goalscorers. Looks like only two automatic spots to play for already. Nobody had this spot-on, but a big 27 got the outcome, with 13 going for a 2-0, in what was the weeks most predicted result.

SALFORD 2 BRAINTREE 2
Top v bottom, but it takes a 93rd minute equaliser to save Salford from defeat. With everybody predicting a win for Salford, no points for anybody here.

TRURO 1 HEMEL HEMSTEAD 2
Truro remain in the relegation zone after another defeat. There were 5 who had this spot-on, and 9 more got the outcome.

TIVERTON 1 FARNBOROUGH 1
Tiverton came from behind to force a draw in a game played in dreadful conditions on the back end of Storm Callum, There were 4 who got this spot-on, and another 2 had the outcome.

ARMENIA 0 GIBRALTOR 1
Gibraltor win a competitive game for the fist time, despite Armenia having 35 shots. In what was an eventful day for Gibraltan footballers, goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim scored from his own half for English National League South club Dartford. With 29 predicting a win for Armenia, and the other 2 going for a draw, no points for anybody here as well.

That is more like it. Despite the games at Salford and Armenia not producing a point between them, the other eight games made up for it, even the other non-league games on what was Non-League Day, and gave us our best week of the season so far, with 39 spot-ons and a total of 217 points achieved. So plenty of points for most, with five members having outstanding weeks with double figure scores. The best of those was eagledares, who was the only one to have four spot-on, the wins for Peterborough, Colchester, Exeter and Hemel Hemstead, and with two outcomes he is the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 14 points. Just missing out on this honour was back to form noah4x4. He had the wins for Peterborough, Northampton and Hemel Hemstead spot-on, and with four outcomes he got an excellent 13 points. Also with three spot-ons was Daniel, the 2-0 wins for Peterborough and Exeter, and the Tiverton 1-1, on his way to a superb 12 points, and sevbalo who had the wins for Peterborough and Colchester and the Tiverton 1-1, to give him a very decent 11 points. That same number of points was achieved by mfb_cufc with getting the wins Southend and Northampton spot-on.

Details of the Happy Cup will be coming soon on a separate thread.

In the Premier For the first time this season RSCOSWORTH fails to get a 3 pointer in a weeks fixtures, and the pack take advantage in a big way. He still holds a 4 point lead, but it is now sevebalo who moves into second after a seasons best score. Also achieving that feat is noah4x4, and he moves right back into contention. With his biggest score since his return to the fold, and possibly his best ever, eagledares moves off the bottom and suddenly has a Charity Shield spot in his sights. He is replaced at the bottom by TheHappyGooner who had a promising start to the season following their promotion, but have paid the price in a struggle for points recently.

In Division One Having the Tiverton 1-1 spot-on made sure Colukev maintained his healthy lead, but it is now durham_exile moving into the other automatic spot with a decent 9 points completing a very good day for him. Could a promotion double be on for him and his beloved U's?. A solid 8 points moves TheFatGooner up another place, as he continues to have a good first season. The top performer in this league Daniel moves up seven places and into the final play-off spot. It has been a yo-yo first season for ghughes11, and he is down four places this week. A solid 8 points also for wessex_exile, and he has more outcomes than anybody in both divisions. Just got to turn more of them into 3 pointers to be in the play-off mix.

THE TABLES (72 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
