Nobody got this spot-on, and just Pinault_Noir had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Swindon.
TRANMERE 1 SOUTHPORT 1
Well done to Daniel for being the only one to have this spot-on, and just Blue4U2 got the outcome. The other 27 predicted a win for Tranmere.
Apologies for messing up with the Slough fixture. Don't know how I come to put Doncaster as their opponents as they were playing on the Saturday. It was either the BBC site that got it wrong or I had a senior moment, probably the latter. Anyway I have no option but to void this game, and we will have 11 fixtures in the last round of group games to make up for it.
The Round 2 results went more to form than the Round 1's, but it produced less 3 pointers, with only 13 in total. Top performers were noah4x4 and basher2010 who both had two 3 pointers on the way to getting an excellent 10 points. Two 3 pointers for ghughes11 as well, that helped to get him a superb 9 points.
Another spot-on for Daniel going 1-1 all games has cemented his position at the top of this group. He is now odds on to make the quarter-finals, but it couldn't be any closer in the race behind him, with durham_exile in the other qualifying spot by virtue of the first to post rule. He had six outcomes in this round of games, and is joined on the same number of points by thrillseeker who five outcomes, and RSCOSWORTH whose points included having the Grimsby 2-0 spot-on. Just a point further back is TheHappyGooner who had the Barnet 1-0 spot-on. Also wessex_exile kept himself in contention by getting the Accrington 3-1 spot-on. The first to post rule could prove to be vital in the final round of games.
Former Happy Cup winner Blue4U2 takes over at the top of this group, as he brings his recent good League form to the Cup. Having the Accrington 3-1 spot-on helps eagledares move up into the other qualifying place. Round 1 leader gerry_us drops to third, but still has every chance of making the quarters. Last seasons finalist medicine_man has it all to do if he to progress this season.
This group is dominated by two of the top performers from this round of fixtures. Round 1 leader ghughes11 strengthened his position at the top by having the wins for Barnet and Oldham spot-on. Moving up into the other qualifying spot is basher2010, who is another to bring his good League form to the Cup, and he had the Grimsby 2-0 spot-on to go with his good Luton 1-0 pick. These two are now odds on to progress so third placed burnsieespana can consider himself unlucky to be in this group, as his 10 points would give him every chance of making the quarters in any other group.
Being the only one from the Premier League in this group probably made noah4x4 favourite to progress, and his excellent score in this round of games, that included having the wins for Oldham and Grimsby spot-on, has taken him a long way to justifying that tag. Round 1 leader oxfcolu has to make do with four outcomes, but it is enough to keep him in the other qualifying spot. By having more outcomes than anybody else in the competition BFG is still very much in contention, but will probably need that illusive 3 pointer to have any chance of progressing.
Group stage Round 3 Fixtures These games all take place on Saturday 5th January with the kick-off times as stated. The usual tie-breaker rules apply where members end on the same number of points, so it maybe an advantage to post first.
