Week 21 Results

LIVERPOOL 5 ARSENAL 1

Liverpool are now unbeaten in 31 Premier League games at Anfield. Arsenal are now without a win in their last 20 away league games against fellow "big-six" opposition, as they were let down by defending that threatened to give farce a bad name. Nobody got this spot-on, but 23 did have the outcome.

NORWICH 3 DERBY 4
Derby get a 92nd minute winner as they recovered from 2-0 and then 3-2 down, and bring an end to Norwich's 12 match unbeaten run. Nobody had this spot-on, and just mfb_cufc got the outcome. There were 24 who predicted a win for Norwich, with 12 going for a 2-1, in what was the weeks most predicted score.

COVENTRY 1 SOUTHEND 0
Coventry get back-to-back wins for the first time since October. Well done to basher2010 for being the only one to get this spot-on, bit of a surprise as 16 had the outcome.

SCUNTHORPE 1 WYCOMBE 0
Kyle Wootton struck his first goal of the season to earn Scunthorpe victory and end his side's six-match losing run in League One. There were 5 who had this spot-on, and another 8 got the outcome.

CREWE 1 STEVENAGE 0
Crewe completed back-to-back wins as ex-U's Chris Porter scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over 10-man Stevenage. There were 3 who got this spot-on, with a further 11 having the outcome.

TRANMERE 0 YEOVIL 0
These teams played out a bore draw for the second time this season. Nobody had this spot-on, and only oxfcolu got the outcome. There were 27 who predicted a win for Tranmere.

The last round of games before Champions League qualification is decided, and it turned out to be a disappointing one for any member looking for a big score to make a late bid to secure one of those places. Before today the 1-0 prediction had only produced 8 spot-ons so far this season, way down on previous seasons. In fact we have had more games end 2-2, and just as many finish 3-0. But the 1-0 was the way to go this week, as it was the score that produced all the nine 3 pointers. Nobody got more than one 3 pointer, so the honour of being the weeks top scorer goes to DCPete, as he was the only one to have three outcomes to go with having the Crewe 1-0 spot-on, giving him a decent 6 points.

The twelve qualifiers for the Champions League has now been decided, and it turned out to be the most hotly contested there has ever been, with the final place being decided by the most 3 pointer rule. The twelve qualifiers are:- BFG (as holder) sevebalo, noah4x4, Colukev, Sector4, basher2010, thrillseeker, oxfcolu, blueeagle, ghughes11, mfb_cufc, and eagledares (who qualified on the most 3 pointer rule). The competition starts on Tuesday 12th February, and will be administrated by wessex_exile on a separate Champions League thread.

A final reminder that the Happy Cup Group stage Round 3 fixtures take place next Saturday. The deadline is 12.30 and all details can be found on the separate Happy Cup thread.

In the Premier Two outcomes was enough for sevebalo to hold onto top spot, but with noah4x4 being the only to get a 3 pointer in this division, the Scunthorpe 1-0, that lead is now down to just one point. Four outcomes for thrillseeker cemented his place in the final Charity Shield spot. It was four outcomes as well that moved mfb_cufc up a couple of places, but more importantly enabled him to scrape a Champions League place. At the bottom, after their heroic effort in getting out of the relegation zone TheHappyGooner drop back into there again this week. They probably regret not going the "mrhappy 1-0" all games.

In Division One Three outcomes was enough to keep Colukev at the top, but we are back as we were two weeks ago, with Sector4 moving back level on points, thanks to having the Crewe 1-0 spot-on. Having the Scunthorpe 1-0 spot-on moved ghughes11 back into the play-off places, and at the same time secured him a Champions League spot. Further down the league concordman is second in the current form charts, and by having the Scunthorpe 1-0 spot-on edges him another two points nearer to the play-offs. A very welcome 3 pointer for BFG, the Crewe 1-0, after he had gone 8 weeks without one.

THE TABLES (160 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
