Happy League 2018/19 Week 26 (of 38) - Deadline Saturday 2nd February 15.00 23:19 - Jan 26 with 3809 viewsmfb_cufc

Week 25 Results

ASTON VILLA 2 IPSWICH 1

Championship top scorer Tammy Abraham scored twice to take his tally of goals to 19 for the season as Villa beat bottom club Ipswich. There were 5 who got this spot-on, and a further 21 had the outcome, with 13 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

NORWICH 2 SHEFFIELD UNITED 2
United twice came from behind to draw at Norwich thanks to two Billy Sharp goals - to take his seasons total to 18. There were 3 who had this spot-on, and another 4 got the outcome.

STOKE 0 PRESTON 2
Alan Browne's 10th goal of the season helped earn Preston back-to-back away victories as they saw off subdued Stoke who missed a late penalty. Nobody got this spot-on, and only 3 had the outcome. There were 23 who predicted a win for Stoke.

BURTON 1 BRADFORD CITY 1
Hope Akpan rescued a point against his former side as relegation-threatened Bradford came from behind to draw. There were 4 who had this spot-on, and 1 more got the outcome.

COVENTRY 0 BLACKPOOL 2
Blackpool reignited their League One play-off ambitions with this victory. Nobody got this spot-on, and only 2 had the outcome.

SOUTHEND 0 LUTON 1
Luton take their unbeaten run to 16, as they go top of League 1. Well done to noah4x4 for being the only one to have this spot-on, though another 20 got the outcome.

CHELTENHAM 3 MACCLESFIELD 2
Cheltenham hit back from two goals down to claim a dramatic victory over 10-man Macclesfield. Nobody got this spot-on, but 9 did have the outcome.

EXETER 1 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 0
Exeter win despite missing a penalty. Only 2 had this spot-on, with another 19 getting the outcome.

MANSFIELD 3 TRANMERE 0
Jorge Grant scored twice as in-form Mansfield maintained the pressure on League Two leaders Lincoln with a comfortable win over 10-men Tranmere. Well done to Blue4U2 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and 23 had the outcome.

SWINDON 0 CRAWLEY 1
Swindon were another team to miss a penalty this week, as Crawley win with their only shot on target. Nobody had this spot-on, and only 2 got the outcome. There were 21 who predicted a win for Swindon.

A busy week with 10 games in the League, the quarter-finals of the Happy Cup, and a very generous competition from mrhappy. Congratulations to RSCOSWORTH for winning that competition by being the only to get the five results correct. Even though he suffered defeat in the Cup, he completed a good week overall by being one of four members to get two 3 pointers this week. They were the Villa 2-1 and the Norwich 2-2 that helped to give him a decent 8 points. Those same 3 pointers were also achieved by unitedwhites, to also give him a decent 8 points. The top scorer this week though was ghughes11 who had the Burton 1-1 and the Exeter 1-0 spot-on, and three outcomes gave him an excellent 9 points. The other member to get two spot-on was Tropical_Us, the wins for Villa and Exeter, to give him a very good 7 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was gsy163, who had the Burton 1-1 to go with five outcomes, to give him a decent 8 points.

In the Premier A solid week, that included having the Burton 1-1 spot-on, keeps sevebalo ticking over nicely, though his lead was reduced by a point with noah4x4 having that good Luton 1-0 pick. The decent week for RSCOSWORTH enhanced his Charity Shield spot, and still gives him hope of a first Premier title. His nearest pursuer is now Tropical_Us, who moved up a couple of places. At the bottom TheHappyGooner sneak out of the relegation zone again by virtue of posting first. The decent week for gsy163 greatly improved his chances of escaping.

In Division One A rare week without a 3 pointer for Sector4, but four outcomes maintains his healthy lead. The returning Colukev reduces that lead by a point, thanks to having the Norwich 2-2 spot-on. He holds onto the other automatic spot, as basher2010 has to make do with four outcomes. It is all change in the other play-off spots as the decent weeks for unitedwhites and ghughes11 moves them both up five places. By keeping his good run going wessex_exile holds onto the final play-off spot. Though it is only the tie-breaker rules separating 4th to 7th. At the bottom a special mention for Stupid_Gooner who had seven outcomes, and moves him away from the wooden spoon spot. But it may be a short lift as it was only thanks to a no show for the third week running from DCPete, and he now needs to turn up next week to avoid being the fourth member to be expelled this season.

THE TABLES (182 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)

An incredible week so far, with just the Leeds v Norwich game to come, we have had only one 3 pointer from the other four games. With noah4x4 having the Fleetwood 1-0.
