Oldham go 1-0 up against Yeovil just before half-time, but that one doesn't really affect us right now.

Yeovil pull one back, and Newport have currently hit the woodwork three times against the Mongs.

MK Don's 1 up...bugger!
Not a bad set of results for us though and still in touch with automatic promotion.
Good win for Bolton and a draw for Rotherham in the Championship leaves "you know who" even more isolated and must provide us with the necessary incentive for promotion to Div.1.

There were three teams below us tonight, who with their game in hand could have moved ahead. Carlisle lost 2-1 at Crewe, FGR lost 2-0 at Swindon, and only MK Dons, with a late winner at Newport, won 1-0 to move ahead of the U's. MK Dons were the furthest behind, so are now only 1pt ahead of the U's.

I think overall that's not a bad set of results.

Only the franchise picked up points tonight. FGR and Carlisle could have gone above us so not a bad set of results.

Bolton won and Rotherham drew. Ipswich now even further in the mire so a good night all round.

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

Bolton finished in 21st place last season and needed 43 points to retain Championship status. For Ipswich to reach that total they need another 25 points from 15 games. Only 1.67 points per game required. Season to date they have managed 0.58 per game so looking good.

Agree with you results could have been worse tonight.

At the end of the day promotion is very much in the super U's hands.

Plenty of points to play for but we must win at Moss Rose on Saturday against Sol's gang.

Should be encouraged with a Old Barn Derby next season, just need to keep our side of the bargain.

Yes notice on you know who's fans site they are beginning to mention a 'different kind of local derby' next season against Colchester!
Come on you U'S let's do it by getting automatic promotion without the lottery of the play offs!

Good win by Reading opened the gap for Ippy. Pity Derby couldn't do their part properly.

Yep, shame Derby couldn't finish the job, but Reading's win was an added bonus :-)

They will probably be relegated by then, so it wont matter.

Lincoln scored deep into added time tonight to keep it tight in the play off zone.
If we end up in the play off zone do we have the desire to win through the play offs?
