The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required 21:42 - Apr 21 with 1154 views | durham_exile | After a dominant display against the Mariners, the play off hopefuls led by Agent JM head to Huish Park for another vital match which in terms of 2006 is almost as important and definitely as vital. Victory and the bandwagon rolls on, anything less and the last two games become irrelevant. As I'm away for a couple of days I'm keeping this brief. Suggested team Barnes Jackson Eastman Kent Vincent-Young Senior Saunders Lapslie Mandron Nouble Dickenson Subs Ross Chilvers Stevenson Eisa Norris Szmodics Kensdale Neale Marmon has the unenviable task of securing Yeovil's league status and they will fight like terriers tomorrow. The U's know what is required to keep the season alive. Weather will be hot 26 degrees Celsius and sunscreen is required. Safe journey to the travelling faithful. Wessex cheer them onto victory tomorrow. Up the U's

The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 23:52 - Apr 21 with 1131 views | mfb_cufc | Yeovil have only got one point from their last 8 games, and 13 defeats in their last 16 games. If we fail to win this game then we don't deserve to be involved in the play-offs. Yeovil manager Neale Marmon is one of our former players. A center-back in our first season in the Conference.

The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 17:03 - Apr 22 with 1006 views | GOSBTS | Will be really interesting to hear how the U's played and what on earth happened with Barnes, but one positive is the character shown to turn a losing situation into one where at least a point was gained. First time since mid-February. Two points behind Exeter still, up one place. Still in it. Up the U's!

The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 17:19 - Apr 22 with 994 views | noah4x4 | First half, little passion. Szmodics kicked off, then didn't touch ball again for 20 minutes. No fluidity at all first half. Barnes dived over ball at near post. Barnes then kicks out at goal scorer who probably said something about his parentage. Soft goal and stupid red card. Replacement Ethan Ross did well. Yeovil very physical. Senior and Szmodics awful. Both lost the ball time and again. Probably should have won despite going down to ten men. Missed KVY (injured in warm up). Dickenson isn't a full back (but did OK) and we missed Dickenson going forward. Eisa also outmuscled. Very disappointing, now a horrible Bank Holiday journey home.

Our Mr Motivator didn’t seem too bothered about getting a draw. Apparently it was “enough”.

Barnes was shown a straight red for violent conduct after the goal. Apparently he kicked a Yeovil player.

I delivered Neale Marmon his Yellow Pages once. He lived in West Bergholt at the time.

The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 22:11 - Apr 22 with 896 views | RSCOSWORTH | After going 1-0 down and Barnes being sent off I would’ve preferred Yeovil to have taken all three points rather than us getting one. We will not get six points from MK Dons and Lincoln and even if we miraculously did I’m not sure it would be enough. This is a wasted season for me and both the management and players have a lot to answer for. Reminds me of the Lambert / Boothroyd season where we let a great position slip away with barely a whimper. So, so disappointing.

RS I don't disagree with you, Colchester were on target for an automatic place and now we are struggling for even seventh place. If a miracle occurs and we do win our last two games, 70 points may be enough because Exeter are at home to Oldham and away at FGR for their last two games. Of course conspiracy theorists would suggest that FGR and Exeter will play out a draw to cement both their play off positions!!!! One thing is for sure the U's must ty to in both and see what happens!!! up the U's

The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 18:05 - Apr 24 with 731 views | noah4x4 | What nobody has mentioned is Oldham and Newport have a game in hand and play each other next Tuesday. If we all have matching results on Saturday, The winner of that game in hand is guaranteed to go above the U's. Even a draw means Newport will overtake us. We must win on Saturday and need Exeter, Newport, Carlisle and Oldham to all screw up. Hardly likely!
The impossible mission continues at Huish Park three more points required on 18:23 - Apr 24 with 727 views | mfb_cufc | Exeter and Oldham wont both screw up because they are playing each other. We need Oldham to beat Exeter, Newport to not beat Lincoln, and the Newport v Oldham game to be a draw. If those three outcomes happen we "only" need to win our last two games to finish seventh. Bet365 will give you 12/1 for us to finish in the top 7. A good price but probably about right I would say. We are 25/1 to be promoted if anybody fancies that.
