Perhaps it is part of what appears, if rumour is correct, a complicated deal so to get the most money from Bristol City they want something in return with maybe ultimately, the famous ex Bristol City, Ipswich Town and Colchester United goalkeeper ending up with us!

I see we are in close communication with Sam Saunders about extending his temporary arrangement. Sam did an excellent job for the U's at the business end of the season, but where would he play when Stevenson, Lapslie, Pell and Comley are all fit unless JM is going to play 5 across the midfield!!!!!!!
Our replacement for Brennan Dickenson appears to be hotting up with James Tilley from Brighton (as GOSBTS has already noted), Ricky Holmes from the Blades and the much publicised Joel Grant from the Green Army all apparently in the running.
Mika Mandron is apparently attracting interest from Hearts, Gillingham and Bristol Rovers.
We still don't have a striker on the horizon though, the same old mistake time and again.
