Personally I would like some defensive cover (ideally someone who could fill in at both full back positions) and an experienced holding midfielder. I think we are well/overstocked in terms of numbers in the forward positions. |  | | |  |

Those of us who have worked in the public sector are familiar these days with the phrase "more from less".
Squeezeing an extra 10/15% from each employee will cover for a smaller workforce.
Having said that, whilst we won't have as big a squad as last year, we are assured that there will be no more square pegs in round holes. |  | | |

Going off previous mentions of how the playing budget is created it already depends on sales of players. The early sale of Adshead and the money from Dawson probably just means we won't have to sell anyone in January doubt it means we'll have that much more money to get more players in.
It's odd really that we've only brought in 2 more new names to the squad but people seem reasonably happy with that. I suppose it all comes down to BBMs ability to get the best out of the same players but over a full season. | |

AFAIK the other two are Tom Miller and Byron Moore.
Dawson is good but crocked, and nearly 34.
Bunn will probably want more money than he's worth.
Miller is a right back, we don't need a right back.
Moore is a winger/forward who's had a reasonable career with Crewe/Vale/Gas before Bury. Probably the best option of these four, if not overly exciting. |  | | |

With both of those players it depends which version you get.
Dawson has struggled with injury and isn't getting younger.
Bunn has always flattered to deceive and I may be wrong but when he was at Dale last time he thought he was far better than he was. Hopefully he's grown up but I haven't been impressed by his performances against Dale in the last few years. | |
