Did he have an issue when other clubs suffered deductions because of the actions of previous owners?

Comes across as slightly hypocritical bearing in mind his stance in the past.

The further points deductions should've happened automatically and in short order, with the points from last season added to the total deducted at the start of this season and further points within a week of the latest postponement. That'd concentrate minds and apply to those in charge at the time

I don't think Hill is complaining about the deductions as such, just the timing after a delay for which the EFL itself should be punished for negligence, through salary fines for their officials

Hill does, imo, have a point if its the delay he's complaining about

I more read that he doesn’t believe the current regime should be penalised for the wrongdoings of others , but he is talking out of his arse, the club is the same club, irrespective of any changes. I do not understand what is taking so long though, maybe the EFL didn’t want to apply sanctions while the sale was in the offing, so as not to jeopardise that. Doesn’t excuse further delay though.

Did anyone see his interview on The Football League Show (Quest) ?
Quite compus mentis I thought :) The change of club is doing him good.
Best of luck to him anyhow.

Extremely hypocritical of him, he's always banged on about football cheats. So wiping all your debt off, keeping your stadium, being given free reign to sign pretty much anyone you want (who was available at the time) on a budget higher than a lot of teams you're in the same division as. Is that not cheating now that he's Bolton manager?

He bangs on about there being no one at the club now that caused that mess? So what? It's still the same club, the ones who have not played 2 fixtures because they either weren't paying players or decided they didn't want to without getting the EFL's permission. If he wants the club to distance themselves from what has gone on then they should follow the same route as Bury and start again with a completely clean slate.

They should be punished for both instances. The excuse of 'well we were punished because we were awarded a loss for the Brentford game' that some of the Bolton fans are coming out with doesn't wash either. They haven't even bothered to re-arrange the Doncaster game yet and how long ago was it postponed?

They deliberately abandoned one of this seasons games to avoid another hiding. That is point blank cheating & deserves punishment.

But it wasn't them, it was the other Bolton Wanderers.

That’s what’s really galling. Their players didn’t refuse to play because of finances like last season against Brentford - the club literally decided to postpone it because they were getting hammered all week and it was most certainly going to happen again. That they did it under the guise of protecting ‘young’ players is embarrassing.

Postpone the points deductions and give it to them next season in League Two.

For Christ's sake what do people expect KH to say as an employee of Bolton Wanderers now . Yes , we deserve to be penalised further and have our prospects further diminished ?
Anyone doing that in any other business would be in breach of the bond of trust and loyalty expected between employer and employee and face potential dismissal .
The faux morality on this messageboard at times , to pursue personal agenda , is , frankly , sickening .

Hillys Managerial rhetoric is about speaking for the club, his fans and himself? Any other stance would be silly. Hippocrytical or otherwise.

He could say he understands the situation that occurred before he joined the club and they simply have to look to what they can do moving forward and not spend their energy on looking back.

Would you be as sympathetic to Bury saying they dont deserve punishment for breaching the rules?
