Bob Willis RIP 16:31 - Dec 4 with 664 viewsnoah4x4

Met him a few times. Super bloke, called a spade a spade. 1981 Headingley will always be "Botham's Ashes" (149 n.o in 148 balls). But the real hero was Bob's 8-43 to dismiss Aussie for 111.

RIP

Long run up and floppy hair . Could be rather dour at times, but always honest in his assessment.
Sad news .

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

Happily remember a stay in Grenada hotel a few years back and one evening; there he was...truly larger than life for a short holiday before returning to media duties. He was happy to talk with everyone about everything and the fact that he knew our nephew who is a first class umpire meant we spent quite a bit of time chatting with him over a couple of evenings. Even remembered our names..what an unassuming and thoroughly nice guy. So pleased we had this opportunity to meet him. So sad he has left us so young.
RIP Bob.

RIP Bob Willis.
A real gent on the field apart from when the ball was in his hands.
The most interesting of all the Sky pundits in my humble opinion.
