Pick Your Best of 2019/20 22:26 - Jul 1 with 741 viewsghughes11

My votes have been lodged:

Official Player of the Year
Dean Gerken

Young Player of the Year
Kwame Poku

Goal of the Season
Where is Ryan Clampin’s goal versus Ipswich??? Otherwise Callum Harriott Vs Macclesfield.

Poll: What was the main reason for the Col U win versus Carlisle?

Just sent my votes in and mine are exactly the same as your ghughes!

Gerken the rock that steadied our ship this season in my opinion. Kwame a fantastic revelation as a young player.

Goal of the season are always tricky as emotionally the goals we scored at home against Swindon and Plymouth were far greater in my estimations than any single goal. But in the spirit of what the award is meant to be for, Harriott's against Macclesfield was a wonder strike.

Tom Eastman deservedly won the POTY award plus according to the Official COL U site:

"As well as winning your vote as the Colchester United Player of the Year, he also won the coveted Players' Player, and the CUSA's Player and Away Player awards.

Your votes also came in thick and fast for the Young Player of the Year, and exciting talent Kwame Poku raced away to claim first place.

And fellow wingman Callum Harriott was the winner of the Hospital Radio POTY award.

There were plenty of stunning goals to choose from in the Goal of the Season category, and it was Callum's strike against Macclesfield Town here at the JobServe Community Stadium that won the vote."
