An interesting loan move. Gerry - Bonne is unlikely to be able to play 90 mins after his cameo appearances. In about three years time he will be back at Col U with Szmodics. A real Col U old boys reunion is looming. Up the U's [Post edited 26 Jun 2021 21:22]

Bonne was never good enough for us…allegedly.

Never achieved anything of what he then promised except at Orient, and that was mostly non-league. Maybe a disciplined manager like Paul Cook can unleash his potential.
New striker at Portman Road on 08:59 - Jun 27 with 1854 views | wessex_exile | Strikes me as slightly odd. QPR paid hard cash for Bonne, and he featured in most of their matches last season. I figured he’d be nailed on to do more of the same this season?

New striker at Portman Road on 09:18 - Jun 27 with 1850 views | burnsieespana | I have always thought Bonne must have a top agent. In around ten years he has been at the Ipswich Academy/Norwich Academy/Colchester academy/play for us/sold to Orient at what I thought an outstanding price/sold by Orient to Charlton where admittadly he was top scorer with 12 goals in his one season before being sold to QPR for a lot of money. As QPR think most of his games were as a sub scoring three times. If Cook is intent on building a Championship team personally don't think Bonnie is the solution as feel his level is Div 1 at best Really surprised me and my IT fanatically supporting friend highlighted it yesterday as a mega signing. Hmm had to disappoint him as had no idea of Bonnie's history. However, good luck to the guy although think a lot of Col U supporters are a bit 'hung up' on him. [Post edited 27 Jun 2021 9:35]
