I know they "keep us running", but I'm afraid incompetence of this level shouldn't be tolerated especially when ST holders are paying 700+ for the privilege.
There's one long running theme of massive underachievement at QPR in recent years and it's he owners we have. They need to go. They are not fit for purpose and they cannot be trusted to put people in place. If Nourry is sacked is the direction ever going to improve? They've had 10 years to learn how to do it. You think by now you'd have learned something.
I think sacking Marti would be a death knell for this ownership. You can't keep papering over failure.
I probably would have agreed with you up to the point of this season and maybe last. Staying up in the Holloway years was a good achievement when you looked at our squad and I think a lot of fans appreciated that. If we were in and around 8th/9th, maybe even a bit lower then maybe you could probably say its still working. But we are not. We're going backwards. Surely it's not acceptable.
There are/have been decisions made at the club which need to be called into question. Why are we paying money for Roberts to sit in our physio room? Why after 8+ years of saying we are focusing on bringing through our own talent are the most exciting prospects still playing at non league level? Not saying Im expecting Eze's to be coming through every season but is there anyone (other than Armstrong who needs to be loaned for his development) close to the first team?
We are going to end this season with max 15 first team players, 2 of which are 32+, 3 of which maybe even more certainly will want to leave. And so the process starts again. There are questions that need to be answered on recruitment, long term direction and how we plan to break out of this cycle. Think that is all fair.
8 years in this division and what have we had to show for it? No progress, no plan, not even really a decent enough cup run in that time. Overtaken by all of our f in local rivals and lots of much smaller clubs. This division is soft this year and we're going to end up scrapping it out trying to get enough points from Rotherham and Blackpool. Im so depressed by this club right now, I actually dread when we play so I have to turn up and watch another 4k away crowd have the day of their lives. I don't know what the solution is with our financial restrictions but its not my job to and there are people getting paid a serious wedge who so far have come up with f all.
It's right that the board are made aware that there are now serious concerns about the direction of this club.
Not a big royalist, but I imagine they'll be cancelled and everyone will be fine.
Midweek games will probably still go ahead, English teams play in the Champions League in the week and I reckon it would be very difficult to get those games off.
Got the email, thought it was a bit strange. why are they asking for R Block? Seems proper weird to me - everyone stands anyway, you're not going to get much from introducing some rails
I'll be honest I've not been MW's biggest fan recently and my opinion was that finishing lower than last season would be a failure. But saying all that, seeing this news I feel a bit gutted. Much more than I thought I would tbh.
I think the stability he has brought has been key, the best in 10 years and he is leaving this club in a much better position than when he arrived. Just hope that we can use these foundations and the board can make an appointment which fits us and takes us forward. This is Les's most important hire.
Scrap the whole plan? Lets be honest, wherever they moved the family stand, or added rail seating to, you will get people going "I don't want to sit there, "I've had my seat since 23 AD". I wasnt consulted". They must be prepared for that?
I don't agree where they've put it and I hope they'll move it round to the other side but if they drop the whole plan I think that would be a massive shame. Also I think one of the reasons they done it is the H, K side has a lot more ST holders so you're likely to be moving a more people that go week in week out.
It's a good step, though I can see them changing the blocks/plan around to be honest. Particularly the new family stand location, PU just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
I'm in R at the moment but would probably move for rail seating.
Unless we turn our form around and end up in the play offs, we absolutely shouldn't be offering him a new one. He will most likely lose two/three of our best players and I wouldn't have any faith for him to start building again successfully.
At this rate I wouldn't be offering Warbs a new contract. He has totally lost it the last few weeks, random team selections and substitutions, absolutely no rhythm to our play. Defending has been a problem for years and he clearly doesn't have a solution for it - we've actually seen defenders getting worse the more they play; Dickie, Sanderson, Albert. We almost look embarassed to be winning and look more comfortable when we're losing at the moment.
January was a poor window and didn't feed any confidence into the team, manager or fans. Yes, we can keep banging on about would we rather be in this position or mid table and that's great but at some point you have to question why the form and performances have gone off a cliff. Can still turn it around, but not really seen anything from the boys or manager in the last few months that suggests we will.
If you go by train by they do buses from the station to the ground. There are a few which go from near O'Neills I think, which is a couple of minutes of walk from the station.
Also think they have a decent bit of parking space at the ground or on one of the industrial estates nearby, although not sure how much.
I thought Dickie and Barbet were good today. Kakay and Hamaleinen look very raw. My issue is with the CDM position and Cameron who is out of puff after 30 minutes and misplaces about 90% of his passes. Takes up a space in the starting XI and offers next to no benefit. Time to drop the bloke and stick the armband on someone else
