It’s not unusual for clubs to factor deals like this they have a guaranteed amount to be paid over say 4 years they get the money upfront for a fee from bank/ finance company. Some clubs have chosen this for parachute payments which is a dangerous gamble.
Hopefully we will have 😃apart from that agree with you will be a good test for both sides and in front of a large crowd.Dont normally bother with pre season friendlies but will this one.
I will be very sad to see him go if he does as he’s been fantastic for us but deserves a crack at a big club. The fact that he has a 10 million release clause and the club will not soften on that I think levy may look elsewhere.I don’t think it’s a great time to join spurs the fans seem anti Frank and they are split about Ange leaving. If he goes we have a fantastic coaching and scouting set up that will remain and we could very well look internally for his replacement.Rosler Warburton Dean Smith all moved on and we still progressed so hopefully that will continue.
From the outside looking in it looks like being the toughest season to secure promotion something I will watch with envy.I predict that many more championship clubs will get into financial problems chasing the fools gold.Recruitment success gets harder to achieve and more expensive every year.
Would add Brentford’s total wage bill is around 100 mill a year which to me is staggering considering they bring in around 15 mill in gate money. This is one of the lowest wage bills in the premier league even more staggering.Still feel this will all come crashing down very soon this is not sustainable. What business runs on the basis of making sure you only lose 105 million over three years and they want to increase it,insane.
This fan is very happy how the club is set up.Yes I expect we will eventually get relegated won’t be the end of the world but wouldn’t be relying on an academy to come back up again.By the way one of the youngest squads in the league
Ok didn’t know that I was under the impression that you fielded a very young side in comparison to Brentford’s.I hope these youngsters all go on to play in a good standard of football.
Very poor performance from Brentford who I thought were beaten by a team who played as a team rather than individuals playing for themselves.Excellent crowd that would have given all the players great experience although I doubt if any will make it to wear first team shirts.
I’m hoping they play the players that got them there otherwise what’s the point.Would have liked to have been at this one it’s always interesting to pick out players who you think will go right to the top and then never hear about them again.
Last nights dramatic finish to the game yet another example of what a fantastic league the championship is.Then look at the 4 th an5 th worst teams in the PL battling it out in Bilbao next week for a place in the Champions League next season as they say the games gone.
That is an excellent summary of the club the fans and the state of modern football.Hope you and the other 999 fans have a great day out today.Enjoy your summer break 👍
It’s not rocket science or luck as some have suggested it’s having a plan and sticking with it and be prepared to lose some on the way.Rosler Warburton and Smith for example. For the fans there is no fun in seeing your best players sold and being replaced by unknowns from lower leagues in Uk or Europe.losing in the playoff final and then selling Watkins and Benrahma didn’t go down well with fans either (all fans have high expectations Mr Bircham)
