Dale manager Keith Hill was by far the happier manager after the game on Saturday when talking to the press after the game. Reaction from both bosses online.

Hill told the waiting press after the game: "We started electric and possibly could have increased our lead but didn't.

"Luton found themselves in the game as the first-half wore on, but after the break we got our reward for what I felt was a penalty.

"We kept a clean sheet as well, so I'm sure everybody is happy.

"If Dean Talbot's header had gone in we would have been facing an onslaught towards the end. It was a good result against a very awkward side who can be very effective if you allow them to play football."

In contrast, Luton boss Mick Harford was far from a happy man. He said after the game: "When I get into work on Monday morning I'll fill in the FA's sheet and mark the referee and let them know what I thought of his performance.

"I think he spoiled the game for both sides - there was no flow and the penalty was never a penalty - not one Rochdale player appealed for it.

"The game hinged on the opening goal which we conceded very early on. We just fell asleep, they took a quick freekick and we were not set for it.

"In the first-half we had a lot of the ball, probably more possession than Rochdale. We got into some decent positions, but once we got into the final third we didn't create a lot, the final ball or the shot let us down.

"The penalty changed the game and after it we had to chase the match, but didn't really get going and the game petered out."
