A quick round up of transfer speculation.

With a frenzy of four players signed on Monday and Neil Warnock revealing he wants EIGHT more, inevitably speculation goes into overdrive.

The name Lee Peltier may be one of those Warnock as talked about "getting over the line" but Huddersfield are also in the hunt to bring the right-back back to the Galpharm or whatever daft name it is called these days. The Dog Botherers reportedly had a 650k bid snubbed by Leicester last week and you have to say that is seemingly way out of our price range as things stand. Maybe Peltier does not fancy a return to the cultural vacuum that sits between Cleckheaton and Dewsbury who could blame him? The Simon Grayson Summer School of Defending will hardly be inundated with eager students either!

Another name mentioned is striker Nicky Maynard, with Ross McCormack set to go, Leeds would be quite lightweight up front with just Luciano Becchio and new signings hardly prolific Luke Varney and now the not-so-young Andy Gray (yes I know we still have Billy but we've wasted enough cyberspace on when he is going to "come good"). Maynard has failed to set West Ham alight and is potentially a bigger East End White Elephant than the Olympic Stadium will be in a few weeks time. Although Maynard banged them in for Crewe and Bristol City, I don't think this one has that much mileage - that twonk blogger who claims to be a West Ham fan but always mocking us has mentioned it so it's bound to be garbage!

Finally Norwich could have a love-rival in their long pursuit of Robert Snodgrass and it isn't the Villa. Rumour is newly promoted Southampton are looking at him as a cheaper option to £6m rated Wilfred Zaha, who most certainly will have better options than St Mary's. Suits us really, im resigned to Snoddy moving on and a bidding war would be nice, particularly if Villa get their act together and make a move!
