Viafara Excluded
Viafara Excluded

Jonh Viafara has been excluded from training.

Whatever you say about Jan Poortvliet, you cant accuse him of not being strict with the squad and imposing a code of contact, he played hard ball with Nathan Dyer and now he is doing the same with Jonh Viafara.

In all honesty a fit and motivated Viafara would be an asset to the squad, but the fact is that over the past two years he has been mucked about by a succession of managers and the Columbian probably now feels its time to move on.

This seems to be showing by the fact that he returned late from training and his attitute since his return, in short as Poortvliet has stated, this situation needs to be resolved and resolved quickly.

In the meantime Viafara has been excluded from the first team training and this has to be a good thing, it seems with Poortvliet attitude is everything and he is unwilling for the harmony and spirit of the squad to be disrupted.

As of yet the jury is out on Jan Poortvliet and his methods until we have seen them in action in competitive games, but I will say one thing, he is changing attitudes and instilling work ethics, whislt showing he is unwilling to be dangled on a string by players, and for this he has to be applauded.
