Andy Robinson was signed by Brian Flynn in 2003, after a successful trial period. The former Tranmere man had a very good first season in Swansea, scoring 10 goals from midfield and picked up the 'Jackarmy.net player of the year' for that season. He also won the 'Goal of the season' for 2003-04 for his famous free kick against Preston in the FA Cup.

Last season was a tough one for the Birkenhead born midfielder. He was sent off twice (Against Shrewsbury & Bristol Rovers) and had problems with his discipline on and off the field. Despite that Robinson scored 8 league goals, which helped the Swans gain promotion. Andy also has the accolade of scoring the last ever goal at the Vetch - A 2-1 Win over Wrexham in the FAW Cup Final.

Robinson is suspended for the first two league games this season, but hopefully Andy can work on his discipline and fight (not literally) for his place in the Swans midfield. If he can concentrate on his football and play well he will hopefully be able to win the fans over.
