Little Leon Britton was signed by ex Swans boss Brian Flynn, from West Ham, in 2002. He was signed to try and help the Swans survive relegation from the old Division 3. Britton was a major factor into the Swans's survival and became a fans favourite - winning the Player of the Year Award.
Britton signed a two year deal the following season and it seemed like the POTY curse had struck and Leon did not have the same effect as the previous season in a physical division.
Last season was a quiet one for Britton, he did have a few good games and set up some goals as well as scoring a vital winner against Cheltenham (away) in the league game. As the Swans move into League 1, many fans hope that Leon will be better in a higher division, we will wait and see hope they are right.
