Trundle featured again in last night's 3-0 win at Llanelli as some declared it could be his last appearance in a Swansea shirt but it is not something that Roberto is contemplating as he watched his side record a third win in three pre-season games.

"Lee Trundle is Swansea City through and through," said Martinez. "Especially in respect of what he has done in the past and I expect him to increase that over the next few seasons.

"I'm just looking for Trunds to enjoy his football.

"What he has done at this football club is part of Swansea City and it is as simple as that.

"I'm just proud when other managers are interested in any of my players and I think that's the way to look at it.

"If there is any speculation about my players, I really enjoy it.

"We are in a fantastic position where we don't need to sell.

"When you are chasing other players and you can't get them, that's a situation I don't want to be in."

Speculation is till rife that Bristol may tempt Swansea's hand once more with a bid of around £800,000 but nothing is being confirmed or denied by their club or Swansea with regards to the conversations

Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown confirmed the club's interest in Trundle but was coy about their chances of signing him.

He said, "We are looking at several different forwards and Lee Trundle is a player we recognise.

"We have had a conversation with Swansea but there is nothing further to report at this moment in time."
