The bid for Trundle was turned down earlier in the week although there is speculation of another unanswered bid at the moment and now this report will further test the Swans resolve regards holding onto players.

Robinson is contracted to Swansea until 2009 and the report suggests that Roberto Martinez may decide to cash in on Robinson who is closing in on 50 goals for the Swans. There are no quotes in the piece which may lead Swans fans to believe that there is nothing in the article.

Last year the Swans beat off interest from both Cardiff and Stoke to tie Robinson to a long term deal at the Liberty. Foxes manager Martin Allen though is a big fan of Robinson and would love to see him in his midfield ahead of the Championship kick off on August 11. Allen was an opposition manager during the 2005-6 season when Robinson scored home and away against Brentford as well as playing a part in knocking them out in the play off semi finals.

By his own standards Robinson didn't perform as well last season as the season before but still featured regularly in the scoring charts and the assist charts.

The paper also reports that Allen is looking to bring in five new faces before the season starts with one of them being Robinson.

A Liberty Stadium source is quoted as saying "We made a £600,000 profit last season so we don't have to sell any of our top players."
