Ashley Williams plays as Wales lose tto Georgia

Williams played the full 90 minutes of the game as Wales threw away a one goal advantage to be beaten at the end 2-1 by Geogia at the Liberty Stadium.   Owain Tudur Jones and Matty Collins were both on the bench but didn't feature as Wales final warm up before the WC qualifiers ended in disappointment.

And it was a mix up between Williams and Boaz Myhill that cost Wales and led manager John Toshack to fume "The goals we conceded were shocking, particularly the second

"You've got indecision there, that the the player (Gotsiridze) should be allowed to nip in and score was schoolboy stuff.

"I was quite pleased at half-time, thought maybe we deserved a goal more, but the second half was a completely different story

"We looked to be in trouble right from the off and you could almost see it coming.

"We produced very little up front and we were being out-numbered in vital areas.

"The game looked to be petering out until that very poor goal we conceded in injury time.

"I am concerned by a lot of the things I saw. I did not enjoy watching those goals go in.

"The centre of our defence gave us a lot of problems, it is becoming a major problem.

"We are lacking senior players in that area, and it does not look like we are going to get our injured players back for the World Cup games next month."

Meanwhil in Wrexham MacDonald played almost the full 90 minutes for the Under 21s as they looked to secure their place in the play offs but they too were beaten and must now go to Romaina next month needing a win to get to that stage.  After dominating the first half a solitary second half goal was enough to send them to defeat and Toshack added that several of the players 'loaned' to the Under 21s would be back with the full side in September

"I'm very disappointed, it's been a bad day in the office for us on two counts," he said.

"For Azerbaijan we would probably be looking for (Chris) Gunter, Bale, Hennessey to come back into the squad.

"Hopefully Joe Ledley will be fit, Lewin Nyatanga I don't think will make it, Craig Bellamy will probably be touch-and-go as will James Collins and Danny Gabbidon has no chance."
