Kenny Jackett is happy to have seen the Swans progress since his departure in 2007

Jackett led the Swans to one promotion and one losing play off final as he tried to win back to back promotions but it was not enough to secure a long term future at the club and he departed in 2007 to be replaced by Roberto Martinez.

But he is pleased to see the progress the club has made since he left and tonight will be plotting to try and stop them reaching the automatic promotion places in the Championship

"I am very pleased to see Swansea doing well." he told the Evening Post

"And I'm pleased to have played a part in the development of what is a very good club.

"But there are a number of people who have played a part. I was just one of many.

"You are talking about something that happened some four years ago now.

"Time has gone on quickly since then and my focus is on Millwall.

"I enjoyed the three seasons I had at Swansea, but now I'm working very hard to try to establish Millwall as a Championship club

"You definitely learn from every experience you have in football," he says.

"I had a spell at Manchester City after Swansea, and in every job you are trying to learn and improve."

Jackett certainly improved Swansea when he was here and, since his departure, the club have continued to progress.

"I see Swansea as an established Championship side," he adds.

"They are currently third in the league and last year they finished seventh, which was probably the lowest position they were in for a number of months.

"What we are trying to do is establish ourselves just like Swansea have.

"They are a club who have done very well since getting into the division and it will be a chance for us to see where we are."
