Diouf, White and McCormack set to go next week?
Diouf, White and McCormack set to go next week?

Brian McDermott was apparently yield the axe to fund a late influx of new players with El Hadji Diouf, Aidy White and Ross McCormack set to leave next week? However panic ye not folks, the source of this dross is the never-reliable Sportsmail.

The men from the Mail say that moves for Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt floundered due to the cash-crisis at Elland Road, so McDermott will offload three established and largely popular stars to continue his rebuilding job.

Diouf will be the main sacrificial lamb, apparently the Mail reckon he earns between £10-12k a week (they've obviously done their homework!) but incorrectly report that he has 18 months left on his deal when in fact he signed an 18 month deal last January!

Qatar or QPR are his likely destinations.

McDermott will apparently also test his popularity on the terraces by allowing the popular Ross McCormack to complete a move to Blackpool and Aidy White is set to join him at the seaside.

I think we can safely say that this story is drivel, even though McDermott worked with Hunt and Doyle some years ago at Reading, he would surely be reluctant to part with an established player particularly like McCormack to bring in Hunt, who turns 32 on Thursday and Doyle who will be 30 in September.

Doyle is also being linked with Scottish champions Celtic.
