Chelsea youngster Ben Sahar is set to join the R's on an initial three-month loan deal. The 17 year old Israeli International will officially join QPR on August 1st but is set to make his debut against Wycombe this coming Saturday.

The highly-rated youngster joined Chelsea from Hapoel Tel Aviv for £230,000 in May 2006, after a successful two month trial at Stamford Bridge.

Sahar has already represented his country at full International level and featured against England in March's goalless Euro 2008 qualifier. He has also featured in Chelsea's first team against Macclesfield in the FA Cup and Wigan in the Premiership.

On his impending loan deal, Ben told the Official QPR website;

I am excited about this move and feel ready to play for the first-team. I have already shown that I know how to score goals, and hopefully I will do that for QPR."

"The style of football here is much more aggressive and you need to be stronger," he acknowledged. And the Championship is very tough, so it can only improve me as a player. That is why I am very happy to be here."

"I can't wait to wear the QPR shirt."

On his latest signing, gaffer John Grgory also told the Official QPR Website;

"We are delighted to have him here and I am sure he will improve our attacking options. I now have six recognised strikers who are all fighting for two or three places in the team.

Ben will wear the Number 17 shirt for Rangers this season.

WELCOME AND GOOD LUCK BEN!!
