Kingsley Completes Hull Move

So Stephen Kingsley's move to Hull City was completed yesterday evening as the Tigers completed the signing of the left back on a three-year deal but not as part of the deal that saw Sam Clucas arrive at the Liberty.

As Clucas was completing his medical and paperwork at the Swans, Kingsley was in the North doing the same thing at Hull and ends his stint at Swansea after 17 Premier League appearances.

After completing the move to the KCOM Stadium, Kingsley said: “I’m delighted to get the deal done. It’s come around quite quickly but I’m just delighted it’s got over the line now and I can’t wait to get training in the morning.

“It’s time for me to really kick on now and get plenty of games at a very competitive level like the Championship.”

Paul Clement was full of praise for the defender but said it was the right time for him to move on “Stephen is a very good player,” said the Swans boss. “He pushed hard in my time here to get into the team and he made some good contributions in his performances at the end of last season.

“But I think it’s probably a good decision that he goes because at his age, playing regular football will be very beneficial for him.

“I think we’ll be okay at left-back,” Clement said. “We have got Martin, we know Sam can play in that position if required and we also know Kyle Naughton can play in that position.

“I think we will stay as we are as far as left-back goes.”
