Winger Mark Yeates will be out of action for the rest of the season after having surgery on his injured shoulder.

The former Spurs player dislocated his shoulder in the home game against Sheffield United just under three weeks ago and it was hoped that he would be back in action within a month, but to reduce the likelihood of a similar injury happening again in the future, Yeates today underwent surgery.

The Irishman's rehabilitation includes no physical contact for the next three months, which means he will be out of action for the remainder of the season.
